Good thing about mishaps with guitars is that it just adds more character to them. The way that neck heel is designed with the flat surface. You might be able to get away with using a shim like you would on a bolt on neck to get the right angle. I will let people smarter than me chime in with better advice. Good to see the V getting some new life!

I totally agree, K! The wear on this guitar is really working for me. It was like a relic that I didn't try to relic -- slo relic if you will. Regarding the shim -- I was thinking the same thing. I need to be patient and not do anything rash.

I rewatched a video of you building this yesterday, I must have been anticipating this new video with out knowing it. I watched a Texas toast guitars video titled "I Love Everything About Gibson Guitars... Almost, I Hate The Neck Joint!" around 4 minutes in he talks about using a pin router or just sanding an angle into the neck tenon. I know people like the 70s flying V's because the neck sits higher off the body allowing for closer action. So consider that before you remove anything from the tenon. Good luck, keep us updated.

Thank you, goose! I was wondering about sanding the tenon. I'm going to take it slow and try not to do anything that would cause me further dilemmas. Thank you very much for offering support and watching the videos!
