I really enjoyed this book, and I also enjoyed The eyes of the dragon very much. King is very good at pretty much anything he does. I'm really happy I can go back to reading a book about Rolland and the gang now that I'll pick up the Wolves of the Calla
I enjoyed this book and don't feel that it is not not pointless. To be honest I actually appreciated a story set in the dark tower universe what wasn't directly related to the "meta" direction that books 5,6, & 7 take.
Only got to just over 4 min before you did you funky hand hypno thing, now I keep taking all my clothes of every time someone says STARK BLAST. I like this book a lot, I think im more of a tower head than I thought!
Just finished song of susannah. Absolutely brilliant! 5 stars. My dark tower top 3 would be 1 /The drawing of the three. 2/ song of susannah. 3/ Wizard and glass. Straight onto the dark tower. Brilliant series. .
The wind through the keyhole seems to like blowing ur book over. I thought it was a bomb book when it came out was like yeahhh more tower stuff! The flying carpet bits was fun.
Dave are u gonna review weird willy or whatever??? I can't be assed to buy a magazine that cost 25 dollars. More likely to buy heavy metal magazine (look it up, awesome graphic novel stories u may have seen the movie heavy metal)
I thought the actual 'Wind Through the Keyhole' story would have been better as either a standalone novella or in one of his collection books. It feels like he just shoehorned it into a bit of pointless DT stuff. It's a good little story, but just feels out of place.
Interesting, i was gonna start the dark tower today but Amazon delivered me some random book instead of the gunslinger for some reason so i have to wait about 1-2 weeks for the replacement :(
@@chesterbrooks3606 but Blaine would already be dead by that point in the timeline? Unless he'd worked him into one of the stories within the story, but that would have been a stretch
@@DaveReadsKing the tiger bit is rather cool, good point id love more jamie stories annnnnnd, i still wonder if the old ferryman got hidden in time fpr starkblast, also, wonder where the calla folken hid as well
Wasn’t a huge fan of this one tbh. I read at least 11 books in the Dark Tower universe between W&G and this one to get all the background and connections ahead of time. And so having to wait even longer for the main storyline to continue (with another story within a story) was a drag for me unfortunately. I really did enjoy W&G a lot more and didn’t see the necessity of this entry. Maybe I will as I finish up 5, 6, and 7. It still had some cool scenes and was relatively well-written. But I honestly didn’t care about the characters and it was pretty hard to follow through most of it. 2.75/5 stars

Fair enough! I could quite happily leave it

How weird! That's sounds really STARK BLAST inconvenient

I'll get to that one when it inevitably appears in a collection...I am also not willing to shell out big bucks for a magazine!

That's a great shout - the stories around it felt like padding to tip it into the 'novel' wordcount

Argh, what a nightmare!
I didn't enjoy the wind through the keyhole at first I did but it slowly became a slog
Yeah, I know what you mean
@@DaveReadsKing shoulda thrown sum blane the mono stuff at the end to pretty much make it a ripoff of wizard and glass. No complaints doh🤟

It's a story, telling a story, about the time, he told a story. I think that correct 🤔.
Yep, sounds right 😂
only 2 things i like in this......book
jamie decurry
and daria
Fair. I thought the massive tiger was pretty cool, and any pages with Oy on them are fine with me

Honestly, I really liked this book and it was about as pointless as eyes of the Dragon.
