Super Cool Fact: The song title was originally meant to be “Brian’s Song” but they found out that there was already a 1971 sports drama film called Brian’s Song. So they called it Brian’s Movie as an ode to that.
And apparently it's about how Neil's parents met too
I started listening to you guys years ago when I was falling in love with my best friend and the music really helped. We ended up dating for a year and a half and it really felt like things were meant to be. He dumped me over the phone a couple days after Shampoo Bottles came out. Idk I'm rambling, but I guess it just feels nice to come out of such a world-ending breakup being comforted by the same music that was with me in the beginning of all of it. I'm really thankful for the work you guys put into this music.

I first discovered them a couple of years ago when they came out with Peach Pit. I forgot about them quickly until a bit later they came out with Tommy's Party, and at the time I had my heart broken by this girl I thought was into me and my best friend was distancing from me. All I have to say is, never has it felt more good to deal with pain than when I'm listening to their music. That nostalgic feeling only this band can make me feel, man that's priceless. You can be getting the short end of the stick all the time, but this band makes it so much easier to deal with.

@@troyminer7 Hey, it's cool you'd ask! Life is so funny. For one, i don't even remember who this "girl that broke my heart" is. I keep trying to remember who I was referring to, but I cannot anymore. Goes to show how important that was. I actually am in a long term relationship now. I'm gonna move in with her in a few months! I'm sure this is who I'm gonna marry. As for the friend i was talking about, we don't talk anymore. I don't really know what's been of him, but I wish him the best. I have new friends now and a good life. It got better for me.
