I use Independent Medium Hard cushions on my Sector 9 Out There - 30.5" cruiser. I weigh 122 lbs. I work up from there to Super Hards with the same board, for those higher speed days, but my main cush is the blue 92A's. I use Independent bushings in my 5 minicruisers, and my 36" kicktail. I absolutely love their stuff.

M.G. Gallagher wait so indy bushing can work with any truck brand cuz their description reads: “Properly sized to fit Independent trucks.” idk if it just for indy or this is just to promote more

as a general rule of thumb: if you prefer your trucks tight and stable, kingpin nut tightened up then go for the barrel/cone combination.
if otherwise you like your turns really responsive and your trucks loose, get double cone bushings.
the difference is quite stark, for most people, if you are not very experienced yet, I suggest barrel/cone, because loosened up they still turn very nicely and are much easier to tighten up.
double cones you have to tighten that nut so hard if you want a tight truck, its not even funny.

Bones hard bushings are nice in between- double cone with a pretty solid stiffness to them

i grew up learning most of my flip tricks with stage 9's so i like conicals. I like 92a on the first set of Stage XI ive gotten(mids bc near same height as the stage 9/X). Bc i couldnt ride the cylinder too bouncy at center, and whiffy/pop jiggle when you put pressure on the board to set up for a trick. On my main setup 159 standard stage X, i have a 94a bottom conical 92a top conical its good response/turn. ODDLY the only trucks ive managed to like with a cylinder bottom bushing are the stock ones that come with the ventures. Though i also have bones hards on a second pair of 6.1 ventures as well to cross compare. I like going FAST and turning with my feet while leaving my upper body balanced for tricks/lines in transition/flow. ILL probably have to try the stage 4's and some ace AF1 44 and 60s. Ive also dabbled with hollow axles just to cross compare what kind of setup/skating suits lighter trucks. Definitely depends on the spot and "set up" some tricks that are a lil cutty etc...the hollows help with the ease of pop, though standards are a gold standard ive grown to love esp for airs over lip.

i tred bone bushings but I don't like the plastic washers because they warn out quick. But one day I looked for bushings because the bones bushings warned out in a month so I found bushings called independent bushings and it came and I found the bushings amazing the washers are pure metal and go soo straight its lasting me about 4 and a half months and are warned soo nice and it's cheap and not priced a lot so that's why I like independent bushings much better and that would buy independent bushings again from Maxi bother.

Stomp on bushing to compress bottom skateboard bushing plenty before tightening bushing or else over tight top bushing to achieve tight!
The bushing that's near the nut of the kingpin is like just to hold the hanger against the barrel bushing and the hanger when you stand on the skateboard flips the up against the barrel bushing causing pressure on the barrel bushing and the bushing thats against the kingpin nut is also to allow movement of the hanger that presses against the barrel bushing so pressure should be applied first to the barrel bushing by standing on the skateboard and riding the skateboard so the tightness is achieved by compression on the barrel bushing that's caused by standing on the skateboard and then the kingpin nut should not be over tightened and should be tightened slowly after multiple days of riding your skateboard firstly loose so the bushing closer to the kingpin does not first cause compression on the barrel bushing before the hanger because that will over compress your bushing that's closer to the kingpin nut causing unnecessary wear and compression on the bushing closer to your kingpin nut! This means to ensure you have the best tight but well tuned skateboard trucks you must get quality bushings on and skate on your skateboard plenty to cause compression of the barrel bushing via the hanger being stood on when you ride your skateboard whilst the kingpin nut is loose before you move the kingpin nut further tighter to push your other bushing that's close to the kingpin nut towards your deck more or else you may damage your bushing that's closer to the kingpin nut trying to tighten the barrel bushing that just going to then be squashed more anyway.
