As of today Guitar Center now shipping units! Still shows back ordered, but the unit I ordered has shipped.

I just bought an MPC key 61 this week from sweet water. It honestly was delivered so fast it doesn’t make sense. They delivered it before the charge even showed up on my account 😂

I ordered mine from ZZounds in February....on the waiting list. Was told I would get it in March...then was told Akai didn't ship the stock they promised, and that it would likely arrive in May...we'll see but I doubt it. If you have reserved one don't cancel your reservation
Oh snap...got a notification today from ZZounds that my order shipped...should get it by Thursday...they received stock from Akai yesterday...

Over a month ago, a GC rep gave me an original estimate of August/September. I was told they expect a few thousand units. At the time they had around 20ish backorders.
It maybe september another new MPC is launching soon.
I got the last one in Canada last week. Shoutout @Long&McQuade Pro Toronto
They will be releasing a new one soon. With 49 keys, 32 GB RAM and 1TB storage - in black.

Zzounds is backordered and has been for like a month... every once in a while you can catch a warehouse resealed which do not last long at all
