I thought this was a wonderful video. I tried a single leaf in the stitches described in the video, the TKS and TPS version and plan a “mock cable” and TTS leaf. I have experimented with solid and also in 2 colors, but not in the round. I simply chained in Color A, drew up loops in the back bumps of chain in the color I was to follow throughout. This was awkward at first but became easier as the piece grew. Using this method, there were no strings to be cut - I just carried them across the reverse. 😊 I do confess I can’t get the sharp color contrast in your cowl photo. I just Subscribed to your channel and look forward to more interesting projects. 🎉
Great video and clear explanation, thank you. I would also love to see what the back of the pattern looks like. I will be trying your cowl, it’s a very pretty pattern.
Thanks! 💕 Yes, and it can be obtained working Tunisian in the round only, I'm afraid. If you wanted to obtain a similar colourway working flat, you would have to cut the yarn after every RP and attach it again row after row. 🙄 But I intend to search for a solution to this. 😊
@@HookloopsarahCrochet that's how it is done for a lot of mosaic crochet is cutting the yarn each row and then a lot of people add a double border. but some people have come up with other ways like 'clean mosaic crochet' or another method by the crochet architect channel
@@eyelacraft You never turn your work in Tunisian crochet, unlike crochet (except when working in the round, but that's only for the RPs). So you mean to do the RPs as if I'd worked in the round, but working flat? 🤔
Your description of the technique is very clear. May I suggest using a different type of yarn for demonstration. This yarn has a texture that makes it harder to see individual stitch definition. One other minor quibble: "ramification" is less idiomatic a word than "branching."
Thank you! 🌸 I know there is "brioche knitting" and "brioche crochet" that look quite similar, but I don't know how to do them, sorry. Maybe in the future I will try both techniques, who knows!
Yep dis is a masterpiece. I have seen many video of brioche crochet in Tunisian but not in simple crochet n in rounds not in flats kindly share brioche patterns in flat plzzzz
Mam, pls advice which mohair item I can make from your pattern library with my Debbie bliss kid silk mohair. I have 5 colours in my mohair collection. I’m comfortable with Tunisian crochet & open to trying new crochet style too 😊
Mam, would you think it’s safe to try this with mohair … I’d like to make this leaf design into a balaclava 🫣 i need your advice. I have lots of Debbie bliss kids silk mohair and couple of holidays to very cold places.
There's a video tutorial for working in the round, you find it in my TUNISIAN crochet school. So if you put this and that together, you know how this is done. 😊 With this video I just wanted to show the stitches and repetitions for the leaf motif, and it's a long video as it is! If I had to show how to do the cowl, it would have been over 1 hour long. But if you know how to work Tunisian crochet in the round, you'll have no problems with these instructions. Anyway, I have just released the pattern for this cowl! I leave the link in the description. 😊
The first row usually is a Foundation Row, which is the same for every stitch. There is a link on the video and in its description that leads to that video. ;-)
You can have 2 colours only by working in the round (without cutting the yarn after each pass), but the procedure and design is exactly the same. It looks like brioche, but it is not really brioche: for example, it does not look the same on the back. So if you want to have it in 2 colours, you just need to make the return passes with a different colour. 😊
Thank you so much! It is the best tutorial of Tunisian crochet brioche technique I've ever seen.
Oh, thank you so much 💙 💜 💖

Wow, what interesting things you can do with this Tunisian rib stitch. 🙀
Right? Thank you 🌸 💖 💚

@@Goldenretriever-k8m Thanks, I will check it out 😉.
@@HookloopsarahCrochet wouldn’t it work if you slide the stitches to the other end of the hook and turned the work for the second color return pass?

How do you do the second color?
Look for my video tutorial on how to work Tunisian crochet in the round :)

Ciao cara, per favore potresti spiegare come hai realizzato questo scaldacollo con due colori? Grazie mille ❤❤

The first row usually is a Foundation Row, which is the same for every stitch. There is a link on the video and in its description that leads to that video. ;-)
Too bad, I wanted to buy two patterns, but they are too expensive for me.
They were hard work too! 😉
This video is not very clear, because you are using two colors and you show only one. Then your followers can't get the final brioche tunisian.
