Looks really cool! I love roguelikes/roguelites, and this combat looks fun! I used a similar random method in my current devlog game for random dungeons :D
I was watching Thomas Brush's great Q+A and saw in the chat that you were anxious about starting your RUclips journey (as am I) so I had to check it out. You did great :)) and I'm looking forward to seeing where your game goes! Cheers
Thank you so much! I guess the start is always the roughest to get into the whole process of making videos, so just try to push yourself to make that initial step :)
@@GoldenEvolution Thanks :)) will do. I have to get a few other projects out of the way first, but I'm definitely planning to "jump over my shadow", as we say here (to do it, even though it scares the sh*t out of me) ;)) How often do you plan on posting?
Quite A LOT of work is done already, considering its devlog number 1 haha. I thought the character was farting at the monsters for a moment, but it looks like he just used a mushroom HAHA.
I would've started way earlier with the devlogs but I was far too anxious about everything. I think that's fine though since seeing new visual content is way more exciting! And no no haha he's not farting... I think.
@@GoldenEvolution I know how u feel man. I always get very anxious before releasing a devlog. Its really a learning process and slowly getting comfortable with hearing your own voice haha.
Thanks! Before this first devlog I've been working on the game for a while before knowing about Archvale at all, but afterwards I might have gotten inspired by one or two things from Archvale. Apart from the top down perspective and the fact that combat exists, I think my game isn't that similar at all to either Archvale or yours, as I'm trying to make a unique experience 😁
@@GoldenEvolution it probably isn’t going to be very similar in it’s final state. Sorry if I was sounded like I was suggesting that you were copying anything.
@@outercloud No worries, I get get a lot of Archvale comments left and right and I am trying my best to make something unique, so I tend to get defensive quite quickly so that's totally my bad! Either way I wish you the best of luck on your game, because it looks like a lot of fun
I just wanted to ask the same. The overall style and design is so much archvale that you can’t deny it’s super inspired by archvale. The whole environmental design, the rooms, the leaves dropping when cutting bushes…. There is so much archvale in it…. Lol. If not archvale. What inspired you or did you came to all that completely alone and it’s just accidental?
I like this game but the player’s outline is small compared to the other parts of the game, to me it feels like the art style is abit messed its both pixel art to me and abit advanced art. If I am wrong I am sorry it’s just what it seems like to me . Overall I think the game is great.
Thank you for the input! The outline of the player is exactly the same as everything else, so I am not fully sure what you mean. The size of the pixels are completely consistent for the game and the UI. The size of the pixels in the particles may differ.
great game!Would love to watched more devlogs!
Thanks! And there's 9 more devlogs at this very moment you could watch if you would like to :P
I love the art style of this game! Looking forward to seeing more 😁

@@mmarinham Totally depends on how busy I am and how much progress I made that I want to show off, so no schedule for now
Can't wait to play my guy
Thanks Matt, appreciate it

This game looks awesome! It's also so weird how similar my game is to yours. Did you take inspiration from Archvale like I did?
