Went to the dollar record sale and only bought a few blind buys…and then skipped over to a used media store and grabbed a couple more. There is a part 2…look out!😀
I kind of remember the Australian band Porcelain Bus from the eighties. Maybe MTV. The rest are new to me. The Wild Seeds have a name that you think you have heard. But I do not think I have heard their music. But this was cool to watch. You can always find some of the not-so-seen ones Jenny. Hello to cool cat Dave~ Rob/Boston

Aside from the last one I think they're all keepers (I can't stand his hair!) Only one I have is Wild Seeds. Since all my purchases cost me $5 in postage those were all great buys!

Hahah! When I got home, Dave asked me what Kiu was about. I told him it sounded like ET, but he looks like a little space poop emoji😂😂I had never heard of the show until I read the cover. 😂😂
The first band has a bit of a Midnight Oil sound, very nice. Hard to go wrong with clearly authentic outlaw country. KIU was out there. Fun bunch of records! Cheers, Tom
Grabbed that one just because he thanked his Scorpions family…and only noticed several other metal band members contributing after I was listening to it! Pretty fun!
I have that Porcelain Bus album. Basically, anything on Citadel from the 1980s is worth getting. I particularly like Died Pretty, the Stems, the New Christs, and the Wreckery.
great finds. listened to all of them. Liked Porcelain Bus the best. Kind of had a Plimsoul/ Damned thing going on. I forgot all about Herman Rarebell's solo album. Vocalist reminded me of Don Dokken. I wonder if Glen Sherley ever did anything when he was sprung or if he was sprung. thanks for sharing.
I liked Porcelain Bus, too. Makes me think if they had lasted they might have been just as big as Midnight Oil. I think Dokken sang on one of the tracks on the Herman record…he had friends from several bands contributing on there. Looks like Glan Shirley was released and taken under Johnny Cash’s wing for a bit, but couldn’t fight his wild ways and ended his own life sadly at 42. He had quite the interesting story on Wikipedia…could easily be a movie!
Dollar stores and record just aren’t a thing near me. Unless it’s James last, Neil Diamond or Nat king Cole records and then you can fill your boots. That being said I went to throw some garden waste away at the dump on Saturday and found Neil Youngs Harvest in good condition for £1. The stars aligned 😂
Good find on that Neil Young! I am always amazed at what Harris Pilton and Digital Dale find at Car Boot sales and charity shops in England. Ours are usually just load after load of gospel records, but you never know what might show up if you don’t give them a flip! Our closest record store does buys large collections around the country and has online live sales all night. About once a quarter, he will have a dollar sale and purge out stuff that hasn’t sold or things he deems to be in too poor shape to sell. I have found some great stuff there, but pickings were a bit slim this time.

That record label on the KIU record was worth the $5 alone! 3 for 3 on those dollar records. All sounding great.

I have a victrola cabinet that is my world music section. This cover just wouldn’t let me pass this record by! Lol
