@@ipadpro4665 it's true, you'll need more patience training a female budgie but they also have the ability to mimic human speech. In general they don't really talk or even sing as well as males, though. They're very territorial and mostly make little crabby sounds with some trills thrown in lol.

I've owned Mr. Tickles for over 7 years. Never talked, isn't the most social bird, but sometimes he'll stay on my shoulder for a few minutes or longer. He knows "up", but that's about as far as it goes. So anyways, this is Mr. Tickles' favorite bird video. I show this one to him the most. Well, all of a sudden (within the past week) - HE STARTS TALKING! He can now say "Cute baby bird", "Cute Bird", "Derpy Derpy Derpy", and he's trying to say more. I can not believe that YOUR VIDEOS taught my bird of 7 years to talk, dude! I can't believe it. This is nuts! Like, what?! I didn't think a bird could start talking once they get to a certain age. But I'm here to say that's not true! Thank you, guys!!!!

Only the males talk. They have blue above their beaks. Female have cream color or pink.

@@nct948sorry I'm late here. If you keep them really really well, they can live anywhere from 15 to 20 years. Usually they live upto the age of 10.

Budgies actually are very good at imitating human speech. They can imitate human speech just as good as the bigger species of parrot
