Question for you, do you think this solution would continue to work if you hosted the DAW and Touchdesigner on separate computers? Maybe a midi over ethernet protocol or something?
Thank you, glad this helped out! Yeah this method will work with separating the computers as long as you can deliver MIDI to the touchdesigner laptop. Any of the MIDI to USB cables should work just fine for you. Just make sure your external MIDI is routed to whatever interface you are connecting it to as opposed to the DAWs external MIDI default
