Re: Focusrite Red3 -- if you have the Slate Digital subscription, the Red can be found in the VBC (Virtual Buss Compressors) plugin. It's sounds really good, I use it alot 👍
Yup. It sucks that they discontinued it. They said that the person that developed it left the company. But I'm like... you can't hire someone else to write the code, and another person to design the sounds?
I think there are some plugins missing like Steinbergs HalionONE, the Berlin Concert Grand by Native Instruments and the TC Native reverb, or the Steinberg Stereo Expander.
I'm not sure, I use windows. M1 came on the scene in 2020 and some companies are still catching up. So my guess would be no, because of when these plugins were released.
Wow, I remember old(no-native) D2/D3! Oh, how quickly life flies by. By the way, Antares had another outstanding(for its time) plugin, which was modestly called "Filter".
Yow bro... where do I drop the programdata file in the remnant folder? It's not reading from the vst files, and there's no option to load it from the plugin... I think it's presets. Thanks for the video. These are great finds.
The folder heirarchy should be the same as it is on your system. So C:\ ProgramData . By default the ProgramData folder is hidden in Windows. Do a quick google search "how to show hidden folders and files" on google.
The Red Plugin Suite from Focusrite is awesome. I loooove the Red comp. I use it all the time. If I hadn't known that the Suite was bundled from my Scarlett 2nd gen, I would've badly missed out.
Linplug Spectral, released 2013. I worked on a few presets and expansions for this. An awesome digital synth with additive and FM capabiliities and a really rich sound that still cuts through to this day. The ability to design your own filters, another great feature, is something I haven't seen in many synths even now. Nothing sounds quite like it and I love the way it can blend in with both analog and more digital sounding synths. Yeah, IK multimedia's Hammond pretty much buries most other attempts at this sound. I write a lot of Soul, Funk Hip Hop and Prog Rock and it's my go to for this. Although, I think there maybe a reason for some musos preffering the B4 other than just familiarity. The B4 has a lot thinner sound, that in some circumstances may be prefferable since it can fit in a mix more easily. Although, EQs are a thing, so...As well as breeding contempt, familiarity can also be said to build unnecesary attachment, I guess.
Nah that was the whole point. I identically matched the settings as best I could, across as many paramaters that I could. I'm not hating if you like B4, I just will never understand it.
The b4 is super bright and that resonance is crazy. The tremolo hurts almost... lol. The b3 from ik multimedia has better bass frequencies and is louder, but it has a lot of high frequency information missing. Is it better to mix the two and use compression somehow to glue them together? Another question, it's it possible to use some kind of software patch bay to be able to use Mac software like Alchemy and Logic pro on pc? Does blue cat audio or someone out there have a software that can bridge the two and?
The IK B-3 has no high frequency information missing. That's just the default preset when you open the plugin with all the drawbars pulled. You can get it as bright as you want at so many different levels. Tonewheel profiles, chorus mix, stomp pedals (built in), leslie amp/eq settings, and there's also a 3 rack effects. The brightness also scales with the expression pedal position (Rare to find plugins like this but that's how real hammonds work.) The organ is brighter at full volume than at 30%. That's an interesting idea. You never know if it sounds good until you try it, but I'd probably avoid it. I imagine mixing the two is going to turn into a phase nightmare. As far as I understand, there's no way to run software written for Mac on Windows without an amount of work that would ultimately defeat the purpose. If you can find the old version of Alchemy (Pre-Mac) then you can run it on windows, but it's old and probably missing important features that most samplers have today (like drag and drop).
You can get Alchemy in Logic (only way). You can't get Kantos and B4 legally because they're legacy products. They're also written for 32-bit system architecture.
Does anyone remember Steinberg Hypersonic 2?
Lots of mid-2000 music and videogame soundtracks have its sounds
Never been a Steinnberg guy
YEAAAAAAAA!!!! The piano and brass section was unmatched. Omg
yes I do
Sounds were great but the ui is very clunky🤧
hell yea
i did not expect for actually really good finds here, genuinely top work for the first two plugins!

great video =) thx
Really liked the video, thanks for sharing these amazing plugins!

@@eren3390 Even the trial(s) of Absynth 2 back then, up to 5, amazing...!
Wow I still use Absynth 5 in nearly everything.
Thanks for this vid, much appreciated!
ROCKS
Más vídeos así por favor, sobre plugins vst antiguos. Me gusta este contenido! 😁
Alchemy is still great. I have bought other synths, and compared. It still has a modern sound!
also RIP accusonus, although the way back machine has their installers !
I didn't know accusonus went under. I never used any of their plugins but I heard they were great.

Might have to do a part 2 with everyone's suggestions

is tantrum and remnant m1 (arm) compatible?
I'm not sure, I use windows. M1 came on the scene in 2020 and some companies are still catching up. So my guess would be no, because of when these plugins were released.

I was born in 2000 so I missed that era. I might have to do a little research

As well as I. I haven't recorded a vocal without it probably since 2018

Much more eloquently said than I could.
I bought remnant and tantrum back in the day, i still download them through plugin boutique
I like the sound of the b3 & b4 🤷🏽♂️.. different feels.. just sound like different drawbar settings
Nah that was the whole point. I identically matched the settings as best I could, across as many paramaters that I could. I'm not hating if you like B4, I just will never understand it.
It turns out that temper is open source, maybe someone could compile an apple silicon version?

You can grab it on plugins4free plugins4free.com/plugin/844/ Looks like it's only for 32-bit systems

I think the only way to get Alchemy is off your backup hard drives. I have plenty of backup copies of mine.
He told... Not legally
The IK version sounded way better
Glad we're on the same page. Imo it's the best Hammond
