  • For some reason the #welding section of apps like TikTok are EXTREMELY popular! Having been exclusively on RUclips for many years now, we decided to take some time to branch out to see what kinds of content we can find on other video services. From the hilarious to the ludicrous we scraped the internet to find some amazing clips to put in front of 2 real life welders to gauge their honest thoughts and reactions.
We had a lot of fun doing this and have already filmed quite a few other reactions to viral videos and would love to keep doing this if this is something you find entertaining or even educational! Let us know in the comments below!

Hey no shit! I welded at Electric Boat just downstream from the base in the late '70's. Another reason I love this channel... Thankx..

I was in a weldingclass with lots of young guys, so i pulled a little prank on one of them. I replaced the tungsten in his tighandle with a piece of stainless wire. He tried to weld and ”poff” the stainless wire was gone. He took it out, sharpened it, put it back. And ”poff”…. This repeated a few times until I laughed so hard he heard me…

For the tig welding of the pipe, from was I was shown and taught is that the initial weld would get ground down, refilled and ground down until it is deemed acceptable. Personally not how I would do it honestly, bc thats a major PITA to deal with…

That’s some funny shit, even a year later. I’ve opened some piping systems where they used all-thread to “Fill” the gap. Prank wise, I’ve seen guys adjust the amperage while someone was welding. We did used to screw around with others vehicles back in the day. Large zip tie on the drive shaft, rocks in the hub caps (Ford Econoline dish hubcaps), anti-seize in the inside of the door handle, even a re-wire of the horn tied to the brake pedal.

I laughed so much thank you for this video. Me working on a fishing ship as chief engineer I have never been able to make beautiful welds but they did hold the 10 of tons that they needed too. Try to weld on a ship rolling in middle of Atlantic ocean in middle of a storm and ocean sea raining over you. I can tell you NOT FUN but doable.

As a fitter at a shipyard, our standard joke would be leave to the welders to fix. It is frowned upon. If you left a inch and a quarter gap weld the welder would hunt you down and cuss you out, then tell your boss. A good fitter takes pride in his fit up.

Thanks to teach me because i try to be a welder when i go to a college
