    Hey all thanks for watching! Apologies if I'm a little "blue" in this video lol. It's my first attempt at color grading and some screens may look a little off due to the latest update to my editing software. For instance my computer and phone screens look perfect but my living room TV is a bit cold. I appreciate you all looking past the tint issue for this one while my workflow changes in the future. Have a great day!

    I have my stuff scattered upstairs, downstairs - and in three spots in the basement. Always a scramble 😂

    I just put up a sleeping bag station in my garage. I’ve got a big garage with a 10 ft ceiling. I used a clothing bar that you would find in your closet and I hang the bags in their cotton storage bags up near the ceiling so they are more or less out of the way. I did the same for my backpacks except I hang them off of coat hooks.

    It would definitely be cool to see you using those snow shoes on a winter hike. Lol, like shug. Who doesn't know the myth, the man, or the maple king.

    Enjoyed video. As everyone’s telling how theirs is stored. Mine is partly in a closet- hanging sleeping bag & winter clothes as well as kayaking life jackets. Backpack hanging from hook on the wall by a window thus my bohemian decor which goes w/ lack of traditional bed & hammock hanging from ceiling. Few things on closet shelf & the rest all thrown together in a big trash can! That’s the tents, tarps, packs w/ stoves & kitchen things, poop kit, first aid kit & whatever.
    I need help!

    Frozen doesn't like super cold camping. who would guess? haha! Love this video. Super inspiring. I'm doing a 2 week trip touring/camping/hiking PA from Delco to Lake Erie and back in June!

      Haha yea almost a double negative right! I can do it but my feet and hands get dangerously cold and stiff.

    Your storage looks similar to what my wife and I have except we basically used an existing double closet in our library/extra bedroom. We bought those cheap plastic 3 drawer bins with wheels on them. 5 fit perfectly side by side in our closet. We use the existing rod to hang things. We also have smaller plastic bins that stack for smaller items. We lined them across the tops of the carts.
    Only thing I would change with yours is remove that plexamid and replace it with the Durston xmid pro. Sorry, had to get one in there for us Durston #notacult gearheads!

    That pack collection has me jealous. I'm wanting a new pack made of Ultra, which of course was introduced just after I ordered my "last" pack...or at least that's what I told the hubby. 🤣

    I’ve used Duofold merino wool base layers for years. I buy them online from Campmor. Maybe I’ll try and track you down at Oil Creek but I have kind of become consumed with logging miles on the North Country Trail to get that 100 mile patch that’s eluded me for so long. BTW, all my gear fits in a 30 gallon tote so I’m quite jealous. 😅

    The type A in me recognizes the type A in you, lol. Great setup! Thinking you could almost find your pct hike with extra gear sales! The only thing I do is I use extra shoe boxes to organize. One box for cook kit, one for first aid, etc. reuse recycle etc. but I don’t have quite the amount of gear as you do!

    I have to have my gear organized I actually built myself some shelves and put a closet dowel rid in between the to like you have. It works for me and it was reclaimed wood so it was cheap to build. Take care Jason.

    Nice gear storage vid! I had used the Smartwool 250 baselayers on the AT, and for my upcoming 2024 PCT thru hike attempt I am also looking to swap out my sleepwear for something else, especially something lighter and cozy. I am considering the Kuiu Peleton 97 top and bottom. I just wish the pants didn’t have that zipper on them…Not sure if that will be comfortable as I sleep on my side. But we will see.

    • @FrozensAdventures
      @FrozensAdventures  Год назад

      Yea I don't want any zippers. Potentials pad poppers there.

    Nice gear storage setup. My gear is stored good, but some of it is in different areas. What ever you do don't forget to ever take down out of a stuff sack. I got lucky that my summer quilt still lofted after months in it. 1😬😂

    I recently switched from altra to topo also. The new altras have almost no toe space and that is non-negotiable for me. My topo pursuits are just like an old pair of ultras with all the toe space and a zero drop sole. They are very similar feeling to the timp 1.5 but with more arch support. So far they have not shown any signs of wear. They are still pretty new to me though. I have put between 50 and 75 miles on them. By this point, my ultras start showing signs of scuffing near my pinky toe.

    Just emailed LiteAF on the tarp. I was one who was watching their site and hoping for availability a couple years ago. Maybe they can do a kickstarter type of thing where those of us buying the tarps fund the roll of DCF?

    One of these days I’ll have organization like this for my stuff! Good video Frozen. Also, my go to base layer is the Capilene Cool shirts from Patagonia. Highly recommend looking into those - they’ve got plenty of different varieties as well.

    What features, in your opinion, make the LiteAF tarp better than offerings from other manufacturers? IE HG tarp with doors, Dutchware, etc.

    • @FrozensAdventures
      @FrozensAdventures  Год назад

      It's the perfect split between the HG winter palace and the standard tarp. Which also makes the doors overlap by the perfect amount to stop wind blowing in at the head and foot ends.

    Great stuff. I like how the clothes bins fit in the rack. I need to figure something out soon. The mishmash of plastic bins and Amazon cardboard shipping boxes to organize my gear is looking bad.

    • @FrozensAdventures

      The bins actually came with the rack itself. I'll upgrade to plastic bins once these ones fail
