After a few failed attempts cold brewing at home, found your video that didn't need a weighing scale. I loved how it turned out! Now making my 2nd batch😊 Thank you! Much love from 🇵🇭
Who makes cold brew coffee with special equipment lol? Is a jar special equipment? That's all I ever heard someone use. What are you referring to that was so complicated before you saw this video exactly? I cannot even imagine what your answer could be. Did you need a video to tell you that you could buy pre-ground beans? Are you that internet dependent??? The video did also point out it's a convenience to do so but left out it's an inferior product as beans stale quickly once ground. Anyway please tell me what it is that is so complicated about grinding some beans and putting em in a jar of water for 14 hours?? What else was it you thought need be done?
I've been wanting to make cold brew at home since before lockdown and I literally couldn't find a video that didn't require me buying some type of equipment I didn't have, thank you I'll make some today finally!!
Nice! I’ve been making my cold brew this way for years. And I have the exact same pitcher from IKEA too haha. A quick tip for you guys: I just brew it on the countertop away from the sun or inside a cabinet. I think it produces a stronger better coffee. Also. I just use a good old’ mesh strainer lined with a coffee filter and put that over the pitcher. Easy peasy.
Yseni you have made the easiest recipes so far, I have gone threw about 100 videos on the cold brew ice coffee and out of them all so far yours is the easiest by far, for someone like me with just a regular coffee machine and a French press this is easy to make when getting ready to leave home for the day thank you.
Ok.. this is exactly what I was looking for! Something that didn't require me to have a French press and coffee grinder. My coffee maker, which makes awesome hot coffee, has a built in grinder. So I didn't want to go buy a new unattached one. And I don't own a French press either. So this was a life saver!
❤ Thank! You! ❤ I love this tutorial, it shows plain people how to make a simple cold brew without having to spend any extra money on fancy equipment. Yes!!! ❤
I had been looking at the Cold Brew Coffee Makers but I am now going to do it like you do and then pour it through the coffee filter on my electric coffee maker and let it go through to the pot without turning it on ....Yessss
I'm new to coffee world but yeah I've been searching for cold brew recipes for a few days and your video just popped up, thank you for the video I liked you channel keep going
Cream just tastes better than milk or half and half. Especially for coffee. If you are in the US though, try and get real cream, rather than the fake cream, which is milk with gum and a bit of cream in, commonly sold as cream in US grocery stores.
If you want to skip the filtering step, buy a carafe with a wide base and narrow neck and decant from it. I actually got a glass vase at the Goodwill that was the right shape and bought a rubber cork to fit it. Cost about $5 all told.
super helpful -- awesome video for someone like me who has always enjoyed cold brew coffee, toyed around with the idea of making it sometime, and now is ready to get into trying it first hand! Thanks for sharing!!
I am just really excited to try this!! Can’t thank you enough !!😄😎 I just recently started real enjoying get into iced coffee or as people say… cold brew. The iced coffee maker I have I like it okay and it makes right away so don’t have to wait but just the other day something happened to my charge cord so now I can not charge it . Been trying to dec what I’m going to do now. I think you just saved me stress and money😂 thanks and I hope you have a blessed day. Oh, also thank you for the tip about a sweetener. I have just been using sugar and flavored syrups.
that is some good looking cold brew :) and i love the style of this video. i’ve been drinking my cold brew with lidl brand original and vanilla soymilks and it’s pretty good. if you ever get bored of whole milk or cream, you should give soymilk a try :)
I want that pitcher you have that you steeped the coffee in. I never was a purist in the sense it has to be coarse coffee even regular drip grind makes it well.
i have 2 cold brew pitchers from Primula, off amazon. I like them. they come with the mesh strainer inside. so you just pull it out and dump the grounds. it's convenient but I wonder if this method where the grounds can move around freely makes the coffee tastes better.
Dude I love your video styles and this helped me a lot. One rather unimportant idea I have for you would be to not turn down the music as much when talking, Or to fade out the music when starting to talk, because it was a little jarring. (Don’t need to take heed it was just something I noticed, also this is just me being a music guy)
Yes bro thank you. I’ve gotten this feedback before and tbh I was a complete noob at audio at the time. Checkout my recent Cali videos and let me know if you think that is better.
I don't have a good device to drain the coffee ground out. My regular coffee can't drain the way yours does. Looks so easy! Just pour and wait. I bought a cold brew device but there's still quite a bit of ground in the drink even with coarse ground. It's inevitable to drain it through paper filter. I have played with 1 to 3 ratio, 1 to 4 ratio and so far I agree with you that 1 to 6 ratio is the best. cold brew just produces too much caffeine. I may just brew for 12 hours to reduce caffeine but I am afraid the taste won't be strong?
Great video! Well shot and concise. Made myself a batch today and can't wait to pour it tomorrow. Just one thing though: do you dilute the cold brew concentrate with more water? Or is that preference?
If you followed this one exactly, it comes out just right with no dilution needed. Just add your favorite creamer or milk or just drink as is ☺️ You could always double or triple the coffee content and it should make a concentrate.
Is it okay to do this and then heat it up in the microwave in the winter? I live in Michigan and my doctor told me to switch to clod brew because I have acid reflux but I like hot coffee in the winter. I don't want to lose the health benefits of cold brewing. Thanks for the video!
I thought of my pour-overs to filter it before playing this. Just after hours of cold brew coffee, one time only, and I cannot get it out with vinegar, boiling hot water, and scrubbing it.
according to a reputable source “"By maintaining colder temperatures during the brew, the oils in the beans are never released. Therefore, cold brewed coffee can be up to 70% less acidic than traditional hot drip coffee…”
