    I'm gonna leave the Summer Goodrich tires on my C8 all winter, and just not drive it when the ambient temps are below 40f. No sense in two sets of tires. Your video helped me make this decision. Thanks!

    Been driving on summers in 10 degrees all winter. No problem at all.

    I agree with your assessment about all seasons. Fortunately though, the ones that came with my car have been actually good for street and strip. Except surprisingly in the rain, where it hydroplanes quite easily.

    Glad someone made a video on this subject. I live about 1.5 hours west of Toronto in Ontario, Canada. I’ve always ran dedicated winter tires on separate wheels....until the Mustang. We have already been hit with a few big snow storms and I’m actually very surprised with how well the factory 255/40/19 Pirelli P Zero all seasons handled it. So much so that I’m considering running them through this winter.
    Great video Brother, keep em coming! Oh and what windshield mount/cam are you using to make your vids? Has good stabilization:) cheers

    Cool , thanks for the tip on tires. I found out with my BULLITT in 27 degrees the Michelin tires will slide on dry pavement, if I got to pass another car. Oh by the way I love your GT . My first GT was a white 17 and I miss the fact it was easier to keep clean. BULLITT K0040

    I use BF Goodrich sport comp 2 and I cant say enough about how good they are dry wet cold they preform very well and I have had them on the car for about 18k miles and still have about 7 30/seconds on the tread

    No way man. About 45 degrees and below they get hardened and get very slick. Drive carefully!

    • @DownSouthRacing
      @DownSouthRacing  5 лет назад

      I haven’t noticed that with mine yet but I’ll be careful for sure. I didn’t mean to act like they were perfect, just stating that without driving like a moron in non abnormal conditions, anyone CAN drive on summer tires. Not that you have to.

      There is nothing like winter tires, would you competitive drag race your 5.0 with the factory P zero tires? Probably not because they are garbage just like a good pavement tire is garbage in the cold let alone some ice or snow. I live in Canada and have seen too many times what happens when folks try and get by with all seasons or even worse summer tires in the winter.

I am flying out saturday feb 5 and i will be fnished signing ppwk by 1pm and its a 6 hour drive home. What do you think guys? Ship it from Monticello MN or drive it back to Omaha Nebraska?

    What’s a good tire pressure for the S550s? I have Nitto NT05s all around 275/35/19 up front and 305/3519 rear with pretty much the exact same mods as you and I still spend crazy most of the time

    I've got a quick question. I have the Firehawk Indy 500s as well but mine are on the rear. What psi should I keep these at? Mine are 275/40r20 if that matters. Exact same tread design as your front ones.

      All I can say is drive according to conditions man. Coming from someone that lives in Canada, if things start to get sketchy...slow down...that is all!
