Nice vid. Just replaced my P Zeros with some PS4S’ on a S5. And they’re awesome! Super on dry, grippy when sticky, great on wet, and comfy on normal driving too. Yes, they do cost a bit more, but if they can go the distance, then it’s well worth it instead of having to replace them more often.
Collin Waters They’re doing well, so far so good! They’re averaging about 300 km per 1% tyre wear, so can potentially go 30,000 km. Done about 18,000 km now so have another 12,000 km to go potentially. That’s like 35% less than the reported 47,000 km, but it’s likely due to the driving conditions here, and more braking (more city than highway). I think it’ll go 35,000-40,000 km in good conditions. It’s still feeling grippy when dry and hot, good in wet, and comfortable in normal driving. There’s still not much noise either. I would replace with the same when the time comes. I’d be interested to try some Pilot Sport Cup 2s, but those would probably wear out in half the time!
ac2leung Thanks for the feedback! Im considering these Michelins and the Continental Extreme Contact Sport. They served me well on my previous vehicle, for a fraction of the cost. I bet the Cup 2s would do great on a track or auto x though
Hows the durability, comfort, road noise compared to the Pirellis? I have the P Zeros too but Im thinking about getting these since my Pirellis are pretty worn
I have a staggered set-up on a 2012 CTS-V and the warranty in this case is limited to 15,000 miles from Michelin. I agree with most of what has been said in the video about the grip, quietness, wet traction and generally being in my opinion the best tire I have had on the V, however cold traction in temperatures below 40 degrees F there is a diminished level of traction. Especially when launching a rear wheel drive 4000lb sedan with near 600hp, though if the car makes 300-400hp it may not be as noticeable.
I agree with your review but after taking off the Super Sports and fitting the Pilot 4S, Smooth, quiet ride on the + side. On the - side, the car feel 600lbs heavier. So much rooling resistance that I’m stalling the car on take-off. Wet handling is epic. Dry is excellent as well. Overall a good compromise tire.

I bought these 2 months ago for my ATS-V to replace the PS2’s the car can with. These don’t handle as good as the PS2’s but!!!! They are super quiet (compared to the PS2’s - obviously), very comfortable - which I feel makes them a little squirrelly around the 11 miles I drive everyday through Mulholland Dr turns- unlike the PS2’s which made it seem like your on rails but they do grip when pushed and especially in the rain which we had our share in Los Angeles. Its really a catch 22- the PS4S give you everything- comfort, low noise, grip, 30K life and great wet control but I miss the surgical handling of the PS2’s. I’m happy with the PS4S’s but do I think I’d like a tire that handles better- YES! If Michelin can makes these PS4S handle like the PS2’s and keep all the PS4S’s awesomeness- that would be an ultimate tire. PS- I got 15K out of my PS2’s
Mike Arango I’m at about 15k on my PSC2’s myself, plenty of tread left, but now they are cupping and making some crazy noises at around 51 mph, could of been that cold snap we had, don’t know.
Michael B it does get cold in Los Angeles and the PSC2’s were scary and when needed - no hook up. The PS4S give you traction all the time. That’s why I changed them out for the PS4S.
Ok so they grip really good??? How much hp you got on you cts v ???? I got a fire bird with around 490rwhp and the current tires spin and don't hook when I gas it on a dig. And want to get some good tires . What do y0u rate the hook 1-10???
I have replaced 18 inch Michelin PS4 with PS4S 235/35 and 265/30 19 inch on my Mercedes E500 coupe, the best tyres so far, much more stability at Autobahn high speeds (> 270 km/h) and better cornering, best daily drive tyres ever! (>60,000 km per year)
I have a 2019 Nissan 370Z sport coupe with the staggered fitment 19" Rays forged wheels and OEM Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires. I ordered a set of the Michelin P$4$ tires today and will have them mounted next week. It should be interesting to see how they do on my car. I did a lot of research on about 22 different tires that would have fit my car and these tires came out at or near the top in performance areas that were important to me: transverse and longitudinal grip, handling responsiveness and tire weight. The upfront cost is pretty high but when I computed the cost to operate in cents per mile they were middle of the road in comparison to all the other tires. To me, it looks as if Michelin has been able to get the handling performance of a 200 UTQG tire with the tread life longevity of a 300 tire. This just might be the evolution of tire technology that will probably become commonplace in the tire market as time progresses.
Jim Nesta could you tell me how you like them on your Z? I have a 2016 Nismo with the 19s as well and I’m looking to change my tires out soon. Thank you👍🏻
@@SZlayer313SZ With about 500 miles on the tires now I can say that were I to do it all over again I would have gone with the PS Cup 2s, despite their disadvantages on the street. The main drawback for me is the softer sidewalls as compared to the Potenzas I had before. The grip levels are excellent and the softer sidewalls make the ride quieter and less harsh but the tradeoff is that the tires are not as firm and responsive to steering inputs, the steering has a more vague feel to it than the Potenzas did. The Potenzas felt more firmly connected to the road and the car cornered as if on rails. I bumped up the inflation pressures all around and that did help to firm up the ride but it still is lacking in the kind of precise and instantaneous control I like in a tire. I had serious reservations about the PS4S when I looked at the tread pattern, seeing all of the void areas for water evacuation, and there may be more tread block squirm because of this. Because I can adjust my driving style as appropriate to handle water, I can handle water on a wide performance tire and so the Cup 2s don't frighten me for the street. Because I live in a moderate climate, I don't think that the ambient temperatures will give me a big problem with the tires not getting up to optimum temps. The one big positive factor for me with these Michelin tires is their significantly lighter weight than their Japanese counterparts. I have a plan to lighten corner weights on my car over time and these tires fit nicely into that. I hope this is helpful.
Jim, I think you would like the SuperSport better. More raw performance, less cushion, not quite as good in the wet but good enough. Great tread life, better than any other I’ve tried.
@@stefdriver Thanks for the recommendation; you're probably right. After having driven with these tires for about 7K miles now I can see that they weren't the best choice for my car and the way I drive. I think the OEM Bridgestones, or the Michelin Super Sports or Pilot Cup Sports would have been better.
For those of us in environments that have very low temperatures during the winter, the following caveat from Tire Rack ONLY on the Michelin Super Sport 4S (not the Super Sport): Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle. Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Max Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage, tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.
Very good point ... I had a set of Max Perf summer tires on my car -- Bridgestone Potenza S04 Pole Positions (bought from Tire Rack, actually) -- 2 yrs ago. Absolutely wonderful tires, but I put my summer car away very late here in Winnipeg in Canada and -- since our fall is much like other countries' winter -- sure enough the rubber cracked. Can't blame them: massive research goes into making summer tires sticky enough to hold the road, & their susceptibility to cold is just the nature of the beast. Have the very good (& very inexpensive!) Cooper A/S Zeons on right now (for summer car: one needs real winter tires here in Canada), but plan to upgrade to Michelin Pilot A/S +3s.
This is an incredible tire! I have them on both of my cars it looks like it will stay that way. The performance in there on these tires but I was really surprised with how quiet they are during every day driving. Win, win!
Greg Black Eagle F1’s, which I raved about with grip, what I find is the wet or at least the damp grip is fantastic for a performance tyre, the back end still twitches at times when I’m pushing but it’s to be expected. Inspires confidence and tbh I don’t care what they cost it’s my go to now.
Greg Black It’s one of those you get what you pay for, a good friend of mine has them on his tuned M4 also and actually is the one who put them on to me, it’s now the go to tyre and it is expensive but the technology obviously represents this.
I have 4 of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s except mine are the All Season variety and they are absolutely the finest tire I’ve EVER owned bar none! Btw, I’m running them on a 2018 Challenger R/T Scatpack and live in Northern Kansas. 😎
My modified Z06 currently has the PS A/S and it is a good all year round tire (except on snowy days of course) here in rainy WA state. It’s about time for me to replace it with the PS 4S so my car will just be a summer toy. I’ll see in the next few days how the 4S will handle 625whp.
If you have a car with a LOT of torque and HP like my SL63 (577 hp 657 ft/lb torque), my stock Conti sport contact 5P dont grip that well but ride smoothly without any road noise or transmission of road feel into the car.. After I burned the OEM tires off my rear, I bought the 4S reviewed here and I can honestly say they grip better in acceleration, but there are some road feel and transmission into the car that didnt used to be there.... My conti sports I could light up at 60kph with my traction control off in a down shift NO PROBLEM, and it was a bit scary to do this... but the 4S I cannot light them up nearly as easily. I am going to take my car to the track in the late spring 2019, but have to wait now as winter is approaching and the car is going away next week : ( ... I would recommend the 4s for anyone looking for my grip.
Had the Michelin Super Sport on my 335 for years and changed over to an all season Pirelli P Zero AS plus because I moved to a colder climate....I miss my car now as I can not push it like I did before. Sure the Pirelli's drive nice on a straight road but they are worthless shyte on curvy roads under pressure. The Michelin 4S will be my next tire.
I currently have the Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus as well. Been doing a lot of canyon drives lately and the tires screech on turns. It’s a good tire for everyday drive but my next tire is definitely going to be the PS4S
I recently got those for my Mustang GT. I love them. Going from stock pirellis to the ECS, much better grip. very happy. Looking forward to take it to the track to see if times have improved
I have a recommendation.... what about the best suv/truck tire brands or designs for handling, climbing, etc....(yes, I know its sorta dumb but its something no one really talks about)
Aside from offloading if you were curious about only street performance/towing-load/road noise rock the michelin m/s ltx on my daily truck and will never buy anything else after 5 years they are just as good as new almost no noticeable wear still quiet and the rubber has hardly faded I live where its 110° for a solid 2 months so shut fades real quick, usually
Fitting a set of these to my Jaguar XJR 4.2. Looking forward to improved traction over the Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric 5''s currently fitted. Judging by the review and subsequent comments on here, I'm in for a treat !!
If you have a square tire fitment. I believe Michelin cuts the warranty in half for staggered fitments because of the inability to properly rotate the tires.
Put these on my Civic SI before I traded for a Type R. Huge improvement over the stock Goodyears. Better handling, better ride. Etc. Looking at replacing the OEM Continental Sport Contact 6's that came on the '18 Civic Type R once the Contis wear out. Which is typically very quickly.
Everyone is so concerned about "road noise", "extreme comfort", the PS4S "looks so good", on and on and on. If I buy a "performance tire", it will be for the big tread blocks, grip, stiff sidewall, instantaneous response to the most minute steering input etc. For example, the Goodyear eagle F1 supercar 3 comes on these late model Camaro 1LE vehicles. The engineers felt this tire brought out the best in this type of sport car. The MPS 4S is a "Jack of all trades" That's fine for a lot if people I'll stick with the tire that will get the most performance out of my camaro. I'm not interested in "comfort" or "road noise", or how "beautiful" the Michelin Man logo looks on the sidewall.
This is very interesting. I just bought a set of these. 3 were marked made in France and one was made in Spain. There not made the same in differant location..The Spain tire has a lot softer rubber. The bead bend very easy on the Spain tire but very stiff on the France .Even just the sheen of the rubber look differant..Its like there 2 different tires .The France tire has smooth inside and the Spain tire is rough inner like a regular tire
I have heard good things about the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500. Just wondering how they stack up against the 4S. I have a set of 4S, but was wondering about the tread life and wet capabilities of the 500. P.S. The 500 are rebranded Bridgestone RE003.
I run Re003 on my daily and PS4S on my weekend car, both are excellent tyres both are holding up well. however the PS4S is better. PS4 is next then Re003. I had the Re050a that was garbage.

Just purchased a set of PS4s’ for my M2. I run an AS3+ in the cooler months. Two great options from one manufacturer. Michelin knows what works.
Do you mean the ps cup 2? The pilot sport2 is an old tyre and the 4s is definitely better
I’m deadass gonna fit this in my bimmer
I have replaced 18 inch Michelin PS4 with PS4S 235/35 and 265/30 19 inch on my Mercedes E500 coupe, the best tyres so far, much more stability at Autobahn high speeds (> 270 km/h) and better cornering, best daily drive tyres ever! (>60,000 km per year)
Hi kev, can you confirm you fitted these pilot sport 4 s and how many km they last or lasted on typical highway driving please.
virgomonkey68 The front tires last longer, but the rear tires maybe about 30,000 km.
I love them, I just tracked my MK7 gti with them and they held up well
what size sidewall did you get looking to get them on my mk7
@@collinw9381 I was running 245/40-18. Now im at 255/35-18
I have a 2019 Nissan 370Z sport coupe with the staggered fitment 19" Rays forged wheels and OEM Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires.
For those of us in environments that have very low temperatures during the winter, the following caveat from Tire Rack ONLY on the Michelin Super Sport 4S (not the Super Sport):
Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.
Win, win!
I'm currently running Pilot Super Sports and will be stepping up to these when I burn through them.
Michael Stenhjem same here (Focus RS mk3)
I freaking loved Michelin man. Best tires I ever bought.
Congrats on 50k subs Fitment Industries!
Thank YOU!
Fitment Industries Anytime!
400k now
Looks like now I have the answer, let's go for PS4s on some SIIICCCCKKK bronze Velgens for Mar-Oct, then put on Blizzak.
Just bought 4 of these for my e46 m3, 265/30/19 rears and 235/35/19 fronts.
same, except for a 335
Well , how are they compared to what you had and what tires were on there previously? Shopping now and all this info is priceless.
Thank you sir I will also will give them a go .
Hey do you think I should opt for the A/S or Summer? I live in Northern Cali. Good weather, some rain from Dec - March. Weather rarely dips under 50
My modified Z06 currently has the PS A/S and it is a good all year round tire (except on snowy days of course) here in rainy WA state. It’s about time for me to replace it with the PS 4S so my car will just be a summer toy. I’ll see in the next few days how the 4S will handle 625whp.
@@David-jh8mp how you like them so far?
Thanks for the informative review. Just ordered a set today for my F10 M5. Looking forward to some new rubber on this beast.
I live in Florida where it’s always summer. My Porsche Cayman has these tires and they are super sticky. Love these tires.
I just got them for my f80 m3 couple months ago and did couple runs on the drag strip. They did really good job!
I just ordered some for mines .. does it make it look aggressive?
just bought some today for my Stage 2 Plus FBO BMW 335i, can't wait to throw them on
I have the PS4S Plus. They do deliver.
very helpful, thanks. I have them on my 11 GT500 and wanted a good tire for my 350Z, and just decided to get the same tire for both cars.
'14 gt 500 here. Mine came with a new set on them an I too am blown away about how great these tires are
@@Gthere-cs3ow the Continental Extreme Sports are about the same quality

That’s not bad at all
Yes, yes. You made my mind. I ordered them yesterday. They are not cheap, specially with my ordered sizes of 255 30 19 back and 225 35 19 front.
Just got a full set on my 2013 Focus ST highly recommend buying these even though they were $1,099 with an alignment
I'm paying about $1500 for a set of 4 for my 370Z, without an alignment.
Just updated my M6 to these they look and run great so far
I just ordered them for my Mustang. Thanks for the review!
Thats great! Now you have to get wheels at www.fitmentindustries.com ;)
Which mustang and how much did it cost for all 4 wheels?
I personally have the Continental All Season tires on my speed3 and they are the best tires I think I have ever had on any car! -Erik
Fitment Industries the 4S is more sticky and that's what I need for my SL63 otherwise I just melt them off
John Faber I just need an SL63 😁
Thank you for this review. I'm tired of the Pirelli P zero (PZ4) tires that cost a lot and don't last
Had the Michelin Super Sport on my 335 for years and changed over to an all season Pirelli P Zero AS plus because I moved to a colder climate....I miss my car now as I can not push it like I did before.
Last summer I had hankook venture v12 evo 2s and they were nice. I’m ready to compare
Let’s gooo, let us know how they perform! -Edgar

I recently got those for my Mustang GT. I love them. Going from stock pirellis to the ECS, much better grip. very happy. Looking forward to take it to the track to see if times have improved
hi Alex, as always, great video on PS4S. I have 18" PS4 and they are great. how about a video on Vorsteiner Wheels next. Thanks
I have a recommendation.... what about the best suv/truck tire brands or designs for handling, climbing, etc....(yes, I know its sorta dumb but its something no one really talks about)
I dont really like climbing and shit, but a review about that kind of tire would still be cool.
KuröNekö believe me i don't like climbing but for a channel based around tires and wheels that would fit in.

Fanstastic tires. I run them on my TT RS with bronze Avant Garde m510 wheels.
I have a set of these tires and they are great. 👍
I believe it's a 30k warranty for PS4S
If you have a square tire fitment. I believe Michelin cuts the warranty in half for staggered fitments because of the inability to properly rotate the tires.
Ordered these to wrap my Niche Gamma M190s for my B8.5 S4!
Yes ordered them also for my 650 gc stage 2.. can’t wait
I was close Of buying 2s. Glad you brought this video up.
Great video Can you make a video about the cross climate plus? Thanks

can anyone speak on this tire for a challenger 392?

How will these hold up on a mustang with 700whp ? Like handling
I wanna know too, let me know if you find the answer
I have heard good things about the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500. Just wondering how they stack up against the 4S. I have a set of 4S, but was wondering about the tread life and wet capabilities of the 500. P.S. The 500 are rebranded Bridgestone RE003.
Elijah Vang I currently have firehawks on and I like it.
I run Re003 on my daily and PS4S on my weekend car, both are excellent tyres both are holding up well. however the PS4S is better. PS4 is next then Re003. I had the Re050a that was garbage.
i have a built performance suspension on my daily & live in a climate that has all 4 seasons. u said they do ok in the cold, so will these wear & crack prematurely like other summer tires that say not to drive under 40 degrees? thanx
I just bought a set of 4 for my 2013 megane rs coming of the bridgestone re050 and i have to say they make a big difference i can recommend them to anybody

Firestone Firehawks indy 500 vs pilot 4S? Which is better
What about the Goodyear Eagle Asymetric 5, I know it is better compare Michelin pilot sport 4 with these Goodyear tires, but I think Goodyear are also pretty awesome and for Michelin, Goodyear is a nice competitor. So what do you think, or does anybody from FI tried/had or have Goodyear tires?
Meh not really! A lot of us run Nitto, Continental, or Toyo's!
These Pilot Sport 4S's and the Continental Extreme contact DWS 6's are the best overall Wet, Dry, longevity and highest performing without sacrifice of highway hydroplaning, or having to replace the tires after 6000 miles or twice a year...lol
exactly what i needed in 5 min no less, ty
What would you consider a sporty looking tire, which would have all the qualities as the Michelin?
It's winter now but I bought the PS4s tires for my M140i xdrive, what do you think guys? Will I be blown away from the performance of the tires? My summer tires before were pirelli P zero's.
You'll love them, as long as you don't use them in winter 😅
I have the accord sport 2.0 and they come stock with good year eagle touring tires and they are low profile tires. Are these considered low profile? I live in the northeast and with these stock low profile tires I’m replacing my 4th tire in a year so I’m looking at changing the entire set for these
