Most people are too young to get the Flock of Seagulls reference. Think of Chandler's hair in the Friends episode where he's a college freshman. He was trying to imitate the hairdo of the lead singer of an 80s band called A Flock of Seagulls. Jules is mocking the couch guy by saying his hair looks like that guy's hair (i.e. ridiculous).
Yeah, never seen anyone get that one. But the Liverpool guys all had crazy hairstyles as the frontman was a hairdresser before Seagulls. The Wedding Singer has a guy with Seagulls style as well. He looks really messed up though. Not like sofa guy here.😊
Also, I don't feel he was trying to do AFOS, he just had a fringe. Basically all UK bands and kids had that in the 90s. Well Morrissey had that even in the 80s but there you go..
Just sayin'...if you ever worked the night shift or swing shift, eating a burger at "whatever" time is nothing. Drinking beer @ 7am was normal, while the "daywalkers" go to work. I miss it;)
Fun fact samuel L jacksons character was supposed to have a afro but the person who went to pick up the wig got a jherri curl wig and Tarantino decided to keep it
None of these reactors look like they were born before 1990 so there is no reason for them to get the reference. Rob Squad got it but they do a ton of music reactions so it makes sense they would catch it.
@@symbiat0 Bit of a difference between a band that has had multiple #1 on the charts albums and who have been in the rock and roll hall of fame for 30 years and a one hit wonder from the 80s. That is like comparing a driver who won one F1 race in their career with Michael Schumacher.
My notification tone is: Hamburgers, the cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast. Imagine being their neighbor is one of the funniest reactions I've ever heard.
The only bad part about all this is that the vast majority of these people have seen Samuel Jackson in marvel movies (and the zillion other roles) he has done since this movie. I love the guy, but he has since become typecast. When we saw this film in theaters, make no mistake: he chillingly menacing.
For those who wonder what is in the case, it's a yellow light bulb. I know, not the answer you were looking for, but it's accurate. Tarantino said it doesn't matter what is in the case, only that it's important and unusual.
Great scene, but the thing that always stands out is when he shoots the dude on the couch the action doesn't work on the pistol and no empty shell is ejected. Doesn't take away from the scene, just something that's always stood out to me (especially because it does happen when he and Vincent shoot the dude later on).
One thing I never understood is how they could go into an apartment complex and fire so many shots starting with the single one and do all that yelling without people calling the cops. Then the guy from the bathroom fires multiple shots that go through the walls, yet the two hitmen just take their time getting out of there. I think it is such a harrowing scene people forget about things that would happen in real life. Also at least temporarily letting Marvin be a living witness to a multiple murder.
All Quentin Tarantino movies are connected too the same world, Apple Cigarettes is a red flag for this. Its cheesy but movies like "Kill Bill", "Django" and "Inglorious Bastards" are movies in the real-life timeline like "Pulp Fiction", "Reservoir Dogs" and "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood".
Its in the new testament, i found it about 24 years ago at my danish nan. But its a bit altered. Was used in an asian movie in a different wayas well, so Quentin might have messed about with it. But there's a story somewhere about the whole 25:17 verse.. i just dont recall it anymore as it feels like 800 years ago i read about all that.
If you wonder what is in the briefcase, don't you imagine it is contraband like drugs or guns? The glowing briefcase plays a huge role in KISS ME DEADLY (1955). Find it. Watch it. Understand the motif.
This scene supports my theory that all fictional media are representations of an alternate universe. In the Pulp Fiction universe, that "fake" Bible verse is 100% real. It's only unreal in our verse.
Having seen this movie so many times, I love that I heard someone say that he was literally eating Brett's last meal in front of him. I also love that Marvin is played by Phil Lamarr, the voice actor for Hermes, Green Lantern, Samurai Jack and so many others.
I love how people try to figure out what's in the case. They never show it, but the fan theory that I like the most is that it's Marcellus Wallac's soul. That's why he has the band-aid on his neck.
The Hawaiian breakfast, the Loco Moco, is a hamburger patty on rice and drenched with gravy. You absolutely can have a hamburger for breakfast. Edit: I completely forgot the fictional chain is Big Kahuna Burger and Hawaiian. I wonder if that connection was intentional?
The name of the meal is Breakfast literally break your fast ,fast being the time since you last ate. What ever you eat is braking the fast . There is no set rules of what you can eat.
Burgers at 7:30 in the morning are delicious!
It's right up there with cold pizza or cold chicken wings for breakfast! Yum.
Agreed. Just as eggs and pancakes are great for dinner.
Can anyone tell me where you get a burger made at 7:30 in the morning?
Absolutely.
Very bizarre
Burgers at 7:30 in the morning are absolutely the best you guys gotta understand not everybody works an 8 to 5 or 9 to 5 some people work graveyard
I never even caught on to the foreshadowing in the line "Mr. Wallace doesn't like to be f**ked by anybody but Mrs. Wallace." until right now.
He really doesn't like it.
He's pretty effin far from ok with it.

Thanks for putting the burger part in. Other people that did the compilations didn't put that in.
Ezekiel 25:17 is an actual Bible verse. Tarantino did a readaptation of the verse for this movie though.
Fun fact samuel L jacksons character was supposed to have a afro but the person who went to pick up the wig got a jherri curl wig and Tarantino decided to keep it
And to think; so many of us thought that was Samuel L. Jackson’s REAL hair!
I STILL wish I could make my hair like that!
Wasn't* supposed to have an afro, Samuel Jackson found the wig and refused too play the character without the wig.
None of the reactors got the "Flock of Seagulls" reference when Jackson talks to the guy lying on the couch...
Too young
They also missed how funny this scene is. Sure, it's graphic in its violence, but one of the funniest scenes of the movie in my opinion.

They have been raised to be simple and compliant.
Today's generation is raised on A Serbian Film, so Pulp Fiction is basically kindergarten.

That does look like one tasty burger. Never had a burger that early before. May have to try it if it's Jules approved.
