Thanks for explaining the reference. I could tell that the carrot said something about teenagers that know karate, but it didn't make any sense to me so I kept rewatching that part for too long. Now I get it!
At a youth group event one night, we played a game to get to know each other(other youth groups were there.) We had to shout our name, our favorite superhero, and you had to name a fact about yourself. So at my turn I said: "MY NAME IS ZACHARY!" "HI, ZACHARY!" "My favorite superhero is Larry Boy..." Someone in the group was like: WHO? My youth pastor looked at him and said: "It's from Veggie Tales." He didn't know what that was either! :0 (I think.)

When Junior said "It's *_COLLECTABLE!_*" I laughed so hard as I child. I watch that same scene again after 15 years and feel my lungs coming up through my throat! 😂🤣😆
I thought that was funny, too! There was a VeggieTales cassette at my church, like, 20 years ago, and one of the songs on it was the song Junior sang about Laura breaking the plate. Apple chopper and all. I still can't believe they basically played with a murder weapon!!!!
Also VeggieTales, as far back as their 2nd episode: "Did I also mention they make great julienne fries? Just drop a *potato* in there, push the button, and presto! Out come the best fries you ever tasted~!"
Fun fact: Rumor Weed predates that episode of SpongeBob by a couple of years, but Mike Nawrocki actually brings up that comparison in the commentary for the episode.
This triggered a repressed childhood memory. During the DVD audio commentary for the Rumor Weed one, the creators specifically talked about how the episode was inspired by the "Mr. Krabs is a robot" episode of Spongebob. I tried showing that clip of the commentary to my mom to convince her to let me watch Spongebob, because I otherwise wasn't allowed to.

I think I saw a comment on another one of their videos that said that they were going to review The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything movie before the end of the year… I really hope that’s true.
@Mike Hunt Yeah the reason I subbed to them to begin with was because of their Lord of the Beans vid. If there's no more VeggieTales, then what's the point?
@@noahthe0tter I barely remember it. My grandmother says we went to go see it when it came out (I was 4 when it was released), and I don’t remember a single thing from it other than the character dvd commentary. Yeah, it would be great if they reviewed that movie, but I completely understand why they want to stop reviewing the series. They don’t want to be an only VeggieTales channel, they want to review other movies and shows from the 90s and early 2000s. And that’s completely fair. I won’t be upset if they don’t review anymore VeggieTales.
The multiple “have you heard about Alfred?” Reminds me of the ending of Magic Schoolbus when all the kids are I the phones like “I want the magic school bus.”
The first two Larryboy movies: Junior spreads a lie that monster a hears, monster grows when lie gets bigger, someone gets held hostage and the monster holds them above a tall structure, Larryboy doesn’t so anything, Junior resolves situation, and Larryboy didn’t do squat. Bad Apple: An apple who wants to avenge her ancestor, captures 3 of Bumblyburg’s important pillars using temptation. She tries to capture the citizens, but Larryboy overcomes his temptation, rescues the mayor and the news reporter, and Larryboy actually saves the day and does something this time.
As a kid, these two movies were my favorite movies of all time. I was a huge Larry Boy fan. That later translated to my like for Batman, who Larry boy was based on.
It was the other way around for me: I liked Batman, so Larry-Boy was my favorite episode because of that. I was even Harley Quinn for Halloween in fifth grade.
"And that the villian is gonna get a little bigger" "Cuz the first two have the same plot" "Yup" That's not true. The Bad Apple makes something happen and then by the end of the movie gets a little bigge- wait a minute...

He probably let him get captured by the fib as a punishment for breaking the plate (i.e. when the mom LITERALLY says I’m sure what you went through today was punishment enough) 🤣
Fun fact: When I first watched Larryboy as a child, the fib totally freaked me out
"I AM GOING TO DIE!!!"
stop yelling at me...
“This is the last time we’re doing VeggieTales” *you better be joking* Edit: OMG my RUclips comments has never gotten this many likes before! Thank you guys so much!
I think I saw a comment on another one of their videos that said that they were going to review The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything movie before the end of the year… I really hope that’s true.
@@maceyirene They should also review at least one more VeggieTales episode, the first episode which is “Where’s God When I’m Scared?”
@@maceyirene Yeah the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything movie would be great, especially the rock monsters lol
Larry Boy and the Rumor Weed? Oh, do you mean Little Shop of Horrors?

The multiple “have you heard about Alfred?” Reminds me of the ending of Magic Schoolbus when all the kids are I the phones like “I want the magic school bus.”
Oh yeah, the "Producer Says" segment, right?

Let's be real....
The soundtrack in these movies are fantastic
Kurt Heineke is a living legend and I would put his work up against the likes of Danny Elfman any day of the week.
Full stop.
yes they are
@@a-s-greig I hope he gets to score a new Batman (or DC in general) production. I actually want to hear his take on Batman, like seriously.
The new animation is terrible
This animation however, is my childhood, meaning it's amazing

Summary of this veggie: Scatt the woz appears once, W E E D , and larry boy appears like twice
Junior with a shirt feels like Junior is going through an emo phase

Larryboy is coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe!!!
"And that the villian is gonna get a little bigger"
"Cuz the first two have the same plot"
"Yup"
That's not true. The Bad Apple makes something happen and then by the end of the movie gets a little bigge- wait a minute...
What is it?
That cold open of the rumor weed is the epitome of cinema, I loved it so much as a kid
This is the first video in the over 2 thousand video save to watch later folder I’m about to binge watch 💀
15:01 On the DVD commentary, Phil Vischer mentions that no one understands that line. It was said by an Egyptian editor at the studio and it was too funny to them to change it.
The line is: "I heard there teenagers inside him that know karate!" It's a reference to Power Rangers.
Finally LARRY BOYYYYY IVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU GUYS TO REACT TO HIS MOVIES, THIS DESERVES A LIKE
The funniest thing I discovered after that veggie-town pun was that there is an actual town called Manvile in New Jersey
