I just booked my trip for May next year. I will turn 40 on this trip. Even after booking the trip, I've had my doubts about being able to complete it. Thankfully I came across this video and now I have no doubts. I've feeling confident and motivated. So thank you guys for taking the time to make this video. It was amazing
In terms of altitude sickness. I hiked up from Jiri rather then flying in. It added a week to the journey but the bonus was that I had very little problem with altitude until (thankfully) on the way back. Which lasted just one day-as soon as I got below 4000 meters I was fine. For oldies like myself I’d highly recommend doing this. The other bonus was powering past younger people after Namche bazaar. Which is. You know. Quite satisfying.
It's the episode that encouraged me the most. It's not an ordinary tour but a test of endurance. Teaches me that we could do it in life sometimes not with skills ( not yet pros for this )😢 but with the choice to just keep going. Everything is possible with the heart that chooses to achieve.💯 Thank you @ShevandDev ❤️❤️❤️for this another wonderful episode. Not for entertainment purposes only. Absolutely, phenomenal for motivation. 🇵🇭
Never knew garlic helped with altitude sickness. But so incredibly proud of you both (as well as Phillip, Aiden and Simon) for making it to Base Camp. You are all machines😁 Congratulations🤩
Very interesting video, and I'm fortunate to come across this. Curious to see the Stone Writings along that path. I think, if I had the money to go, I would take a while longer, not just to rest, but in addition, to savor the different points of interest, although, from my viewpoint, I certainly can't tell how much time you can take to "smell the roses" along the walk. Perhaps, some traveling companies allow for people to take their time to do the walk. ( Perhaps pay two, or more "Sherpas" to carry their things, instead of just one "porter". Do many, if not most people receive some training before hand to do this walk? Talk about walking "the Camino"!!!! (Referring to the walk beginning in Northern France, and stretches the length of Northern Spain! [ Most people take about a month to walk it.]) Thank you, again for presenting this video!
Planning on making this trip this October. I’ve been watching videos about EBC trek for about 2 weeks now. Yours is definitely my favorite. Your bond with your father and brother, as well as your partner is admirable. Your attitude towards the journey, the challenges and your subscribers is both admirable and encouraging! Well done!
all in all, a truly wonderful Everest series. y'all captured it well & love the confessions. crystal clear quality. brilliant castmates. hope your dad & brother join you again for yet another cool trip.
Thank you for producing this video! Fascinating trek and you guys have a wonderful family dynamic. Pay attention Shev to Dev's dad.....he's awesome. Dev definitely has inherited his father's sweet nature.
Well done you guys! I was glued to the tv watching this episode and egging you on, all the way! Woohoooo! You both rock! Your Dad, Dev. Hello 😍 And your brother is adorable. Again, well done!!
Yes - cold, at ~ 5100 meters - ~ 26° farenheit! Thank you for taking us the extra distance so those of us who are living vicariously through you can - sort of - share your experiences!
Epic video Thank you! Your positivity & videography was incredible- thanks for the effort you went to & the detail. I’m going to do this next year & this was so great to see it day by day! Love your work.
Great documentry. You guys are full of positivity. So proud of you guys. I have done Mount Annapurna Base Camp couple of months back and I can understand the level of difficulty it takes to reach base camps of 8000er mountains. Love you guys from India 🇮🇳
You guys are really made for each others very supportive with each others. and the way you guys deliver the video presentation is really insane Its like a movie. Dev father and his brother are way energetic and stronger 🥰🥰🥰💗💗
I noticed that Simon does not have a flag from the United States, that's where I live. I have seen many videos and documentaries about the Annapurna and Everest base camp. Some are good some are boring. However, I really enjoyed watching your documentary. I like how each and every one of you shared your experience and your feelings. Very well done from start to finish.
That means a lot that you enjoyed our video! We honestly poured our heart and sole into it! In fact, every time we watch it, we tear up a little 🥲 the USA is high on our bucket list! We cannot wait to visit 😍
@@ShevandDev I hope to see you both here in in America someday. Many wonderful places to see and visit. I can't imagine the feelings all of you shared together. Words a lone can't truly express one's feelings after climbing 9 days to Everest base camp. See you in the good ole USA!!
Sensational!! We would like to thank you for sharing your wonderful Everest Base Camp trek experience with us! We're thrilled to have been a part of your incrediable journey through the breathtaking landscapes of the Himalayas. We hope your trek inspires many more to embark on this remarkable odyssey in the future. The adventure awaits you all!
Thank you Shev & Dev for this wonderful video. Youve captured every little detail beautufully and have given me so much insight. So inspired after watching the entire thing without a pause...im definately gonna do this!!! Hopefully soon...😊
Shev & Dev:I wish you guys safe journeys & good LUCK to you ALL FOUR remarkable people trying to reaches the Summit of Mount Everest this week in great joy & peace with other tourists in June of 2023❤❤❤
BTW: This is well done - human side of things (struggles, no showers 😢); some of the technical stats - Love that you show the outlines of the trail sections, the towns or stops along your hike, and the names of the locations on the map, shown at each step of your journey.. Very informative.
Wow.. You guys were just amazing... Congratulations on completing the trek... Just loved watching you guys put in all the effort, it was is one hell of a, journey... So proud of you four n Simon ❤❤❤❤Gr8 job, lots, of love from India 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🙏
So you also, apparently, went through Tengboche twice instead of using the splendid Mong La - Phortse - Pangpoche High Scenic Trail on the way up. It amazes me how little guides care about their clients' total experience just taking them along the most crowded and least demanding trails instead of offering maximum enjoyment by using less well known routes, which in this case does not even require any more days in the itinerary. At 1:07:13 your guide is practically point at the high trail on the opposite side of the valley. At 1:07:20 you can see the amazing high trail winding along the slope towards Pangpoche. Vastly better views, lots of wildlife and practically no other trekkers. This high trail is actually the original one to high Khumbu predating the Tengboche route by hundreds of years. Tengboche can be visited on the way down.
I’m a new subscriber. I loved this video so much. You all have a beautiful family with lots of love. I know I could never take that hike and I’m so happy you took us a king thanks again.
🇮🇳 North East India you must plan a trip to visit our beautiful state of Meghalaya. And I'm sure you will love the natural beauty here , the tasty food, the living root bridge and other.
Shev & Dev:I am rooting for you FOUR remarkable people to reaches the Summit of Mount Everest this week in great joy & peace June of 2023❤❤❤Good Luck & safe journeys in peace 2023❤❤❤
Thank you for making this wonderful, insightful vlog of your amazing adventure. My friends and I are going there in March and watching your journey inspires me even more to go- thanks. Please don't take this as criticism but as an observation and sharing my experience with you guys. I was as a young man in an elite airborne unit in the British Army and had to endure bodywrecking feats of endurance carrying what the porters do daily - what was drilled into us and helped ALL who listened was - strong thoughts create strong outcomes- thinking that a coming uphill section is going to be hard - makes it harder! Creates anxiety and stops you enjoying the moment based on the negativity you are IMAGINING in the moment!!!!!! Better to imagine a cool future,,,,no! In future, and again this is NOT criticism, see yourself in your mind's eye, going up like a yak or a porter, breathe in the PRANA (life force that is free and all around) - pick a tree or rock a hundred metres or so ahead - reach that - congratulate yourself and repeat until you reach your destination - having GROWN - again LOVED your journey (55 mins in watching and wanted to thank you all ) may you all have many, many more to come.
Your video is the best I had watched and I am going to EBC this September 2023 thank you for such insightful video, it helped prepare me for the trek a lot.🙏🏻👍🏻👏🏻
