I loved this. It breathed so much life into the region and the cameos made me so happy. The Eri episode was adorable and I'm so glad Ryme finally has voice acting
Paldean Winds I feel did a better job at showing off the region of Paldea than Twilight Wings did. Not that TW was bad, but it was more Character focused, while PW let us explore the vibes of Paldea a little more.
The last episode giving Rhyme and Iono some screentime was perfect considering these two, who require their voices the most with their professions, did not get a single voice acted line in the actual video game.
5:29 Those candy's are very reminiscent of candy I use to eat as a kid called "wonder balls". They were balls of chocolate that had little hard candies inside them themed after cartoon characters. I'm pretty sure that's what they are based on but maybe a Japanese equivalent(i'm guessing Japan might have their own version of these types of candies)? There were even Pokemon themed ones. The commercials are on RUclips.
Great video! I love Paldean Winds. Such a great mini-series with amazing characters. I loved seeing Arven in the series! He is my fav character from the Scarlet/Violet games, and I just love seeing Arven in anime ( even if it was just for one episode lol But I still loved it! ). And yes, I agree, hearing Ryme in the series was so dope! Overall, great series! Oh, and my fav character from Paldean Winds is Aliquis.
I remember automatically disliking paldean winds and thought it was a waste of time and they should've put it towards horizons, but after giving the 1st episode a try, my demons were immediately put to rest and I became attached to this beautiful spinoff series❤ it wasn't long before my *favourite* episode of this series came, I absolutely love episode 2 with aliques and meowscarada (the pokemon I've grown to love mainly due to this episode 💚) that terastilize sequence was an automatic top 10 beautiful moments in the pokemon anime for me! The 3rd wasn't anything too spectacular for me apart from annihilape's debut and seeing kind eri. The 4th and final episode was just so wholesome with lots of paldea content being put into one video. All and all, I've really come to appreciate paldean winds, now let's see if horizons can mirror that 🍃
Ohara would have to be my favourite character. I just loved her design and her personality, however, in contrast, Episode 1 set me up feeling, pretty unenthusiastic for the rest of the series. I think it was just because with the cuts I failed to follow what was really going on. My favourite was Episode 3, since I loved seeing the inside of Team Star like this. Also, you should of acknowledged that after the 1st, 3rd, and 4th episodes there was a gift Cetitan, Revavroom and Chest Form Gimmigouhl in Scarlet and Violet. Frankly I wish they also did something for the second episode, maybe Nemona's Tauros?
The 1st episode i admit i wasn't fully grasping (Fuecoco girl is nice though) but it got better immediately. My favorite is the 2nd one, it's the most well... Pokemon anime episode of them, but that's probably the reason why I like it so much. The team star episode was nice too, I think it's clear wrestler girl is just everyone's favorite of them, from fans to even folks behind the official stuff. Though I'm more partial to her "un deliquentified" design in the dlc a bit more personally. She rocks being a normie lol
It's always the same with this type of pokefans and MH fans. * monster is canonically (or mostly) male but shows little pink or is deemed "too feminine" * *those type of fans who I bet also would be mf*: a she!
I've been meaning to watch the games anime mini series. I have been lax on it as I have other commitments, and it is low on my priority list. Haven't even watched Evolutions, Twilight Wings or finished Hisuian Snow.
ngl a part of me really likes this short series better than horizons. Horizons feels a bit weak to me so far and i sort of wish it had more of the game lore because i really love the game lore. Thats why i really like Paldean winds and all of its cameos and references to the game. I was also really happy to see Carmine and Kieran because they are my favorites.
I expect Horizons will feature Indigo Disk stuff eventually because... Well... It kinda has to all things considered. But personally I respect it's not them going "hey lookit, all the characters from game, ya see, ya see?" too much. And the few rare times they have brought in a game character it's been with purpose to either have the main duo learn about themselves or get a small lead on their goals. Except for Nemona who very much felt like they had her show up just to be able to say she appeared in the Pokemon anime fairly early lol. But they're headed to Paldea again so maybe she'll do more
I'm gonna miss Paldean Winds. Especially Meowscarada, since we won't see Liko's Sprigatito evolve at all. They should have went with this instead of Pokemon Horizons. Liko and O'Hara would make fast friends.
DEFINITELY a huge step up from Hisuian Snow since this one ACTUALLY spends a reasonable amount of time with the characters from the game instead of focusing on some stranger!
How is this possible? How are the miniseries SO much better than the main anime? I've never really been one to watch animated Pokémon, but after watching your review, I may just add Paldean Winds to my watch list! But NOT Horizons! Never Horizons! You see, I'm what some people would call a stickler for accuracy (maybe it's an ASD thing, I'm not really sure), and the anime NEVER follows the storyline of the games. Which I guess is fine, but what REALLY gets me is that they never use the rivals and major characters from the games as MCs for some reason (and yes, I know they didn't do that here either, but it actually WORKS in this format). Like, the most that they've ever used is ONE, and it's usually the girl. They always use RANDOM GYM LEADERS for the traveling party instead for some reason. (And how do they even choose which ones? Like, in the original, it was the 1st 2 Gym Leaders you battle, but after that, it all just seems kinda...arbitrary, if you ask me. I mean, honestly, what's so special about Clemont that he gets a main character spot? Could someone please explain this to me? You know, I actually made a joke about how they always choose the youngest looking ones to be in the party, so I mentioned how that would be Grusha and/or Iono in Scarlet and Violet, and low-and-behold, I saw them in an anime party prediction! The in-game MCs were there, too! Along with Ortega and Poppy for some reason. (Please note that this was likely from before Horizons was so much as conceived by anyone in existence). Aw yeah! 8-person party, MCs and all! Would totally stream. Super binge-worthy.) Ahem, now where was I? Ah, yes. This is my #1 complaint about Pokémon: The Series. If it weren't for this one single thing, I would be hunting it down and binge-watching it in its entirety. Like, I don't even CARE if I like the rivals or not! They're THEM, and it's technically what they deserve! What makes it sting even more this time than usual is how absolutely, positively, definitely NOT unhealthily attached to all the characters I am. (I have NOT been simping over Grusha, okay?! Who told you that?!) THEY'RE ALL MY BABIES AND I LOVE THEM! Okay, rant over. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
I loved this. It breathed so much life into the region and the cameos made me so happy. The Eri episode was adorable and I'm so glad Ryme finally has voice acting
The last episode was so important to me specifically because Meowscarada is doing magic tricks and Fueccoco is so dumbfounded watching them
Paldean Winds I feel did a better job at showing off the region of Paldea than Twilight Wings did. Not that TW was bad, but it was more Character focused, while PW let us explore the vibes of Paldea a little more.

This series was awesome and I loved how each character had a struggle to get past so they can become better characters
Great video! I love Paldean Winds. Such a great mini-series with amazing characters. I loved seeing Arven in the series! I guess you can say that Paldean Winds, was a "Breath of fresh air"?
Paldean Winds was really great, i love getting these new looks at the games world while having it's own unique stories.
I notice all the spinoff material seems to favour the Scarlet Uniforms more.
And now Pokemon Masters also does it, with Arven coming in Naranja uniform.

The best thing in this series was to see DJ G-rave dancing.
Fuecoco is a precious bean
I like this more then Horizons ngl

I enjoyed this series. and im surprised quaxly evolved. i feel like lately hes been getting kinda shafted lately
Its better than the actual new series airing rn
4:35 She? You know Meowscarada's gender?
It's always the same with this type of pokefans and MH fans.

I’m bummed that the PW trio didn’t make an appearance in the DLC since the series was based directly on the world of the game.
I've been meaning to watch the games anime mini series. I have been lax on it as I have other commitments, and it is low on my priority list. Haven't even watched Evolutions, Twilight Wings or finished Hisuian Snow.

@@LuigiTheMetal64 you right
Yo they gave the stuck up one the cat
Fuecoco is a top 3 Pokémon
Pokemon genuinely needs a proper anime in the spin off style or make them longer
I'm gonna miss Paldean Winds. Especially Meowscarada, since we won't see Liko's Sprigatito evolve at all. They should have went with this instead of Pokemon Horizons. Liko and O'Hara would make fast friends.
I wonder how difficult traveling through paldea is for all the other students who don’t have koraidon and miraidon though
Paldean winds is indeed very wholesome in my book.
We need a Web Series based on Pokemon Unite!
DEFINITELY a huge step up from Hisuian Snow since this one ACTUALLY spends a reasonable amount of time with the characters from the game instead of focusing on some stranger!

A little bummed that Violet and Uva never got any anime representation but I am pretty happy with this.
a female protagonist
The worst thing in this caca pika chu was too see baby amongo
