It's great to see this series again,it proves one thing though.Things were indeed getting shitter at a rapid pace in '91,what Ben Elton proves is that thing have gotten far worse, not better, since then.I look back to the '90 when pay wasn't too bad, petrol and cigarettes (+beer) didn't cost an arm and a leg and big brother only existed in multi-storey car parks. These days you can't step out your door without being on camera nor take a trip into town without your number plate being read/checked.
@@ktkee7161 Still here ! Hard to believe they could have fucked thing up any more! Unless there is some serious , decisive change it's only got a couple of years before absolutely everything is broken . Why the fuck can't things stay the same for five minutes? Change for the sake of it,old systems that worked perfectly well ruined for the sake of the "Newest technology" which usually involves the redundancy of a number of "Staff".All this techno-shite hasn't made things "Better",it's made them considerably worse and they knew this before they start fucking about with things.Maybe I should move to a country 50 years behind us so I can relive those far more enjoyable techno-shit free days again.
I would like to state that this is not at all my experience. Could others please tell me if this seems accurate to them? If not, why is he making a joke about something that women have to do for their health? I had heard this routine before going and it made me believe that it would be painful and uncomfortable. In fact the instruments were room temperature, the speculum was not opened far and the cell removal was barely noticeable.
Chiming in from the future to say that I've had some bad paps. Sure Ben's exaggerating here but it's not fun. My guess is that his wife and lady friends told him about this.
