I'm sure these were filmed in front of an audience. At one point you can hear someone in the crowd cheering for the Tunnocks biscuits (around 7mins in), and there's some faint coughs in the first monologue. Maybe they added extra laughter afterwards..? Edit: Definitely sounds off though, which I didn't notice on the other episodes I've rewatched today... I wonder if it was a pilot and filmed with a very small audience, which they then added additional laughter to.
@@helenl3193 Bill doesn’t need canned laughter and this doesn’t sound canned to me. I’ve seen him live and the audience were in constant hysterics. I think this is legit
@@CosmicCompassionQuest I've seen him live several times and completely agree he doesn't need canned laughter. However, you never know what execs may feel is necessary to sell a pilot, especially if the audience was small, or not well targeted - an audience of Bailey fans would need no altering, but if they just got a random load of people in* then they might have felt it needed a bit of bumping up with additional laughter tracks. I don't agree with the decision, I was just trying to extrapolate why it might have been used *(often students get free tickets to shows/people they've never heard of)
Human slaves in an insect nation is a great song and it should be brought back.
this gets fresher with age--Byoooodifull.
I love you Bill Bailey
I notice all the old stuff from 90s tv that made it onto youtube maxes out at 240p. Is this how TV used to look back then? I can't remember hahaha
Pretty much. It would be great if the studios made remastered versions available.
im sure you can find em on dvds ;)
beardization
I don't think so.
No. This is not right. 90's tv is roughly 480p at best. This is just an avg upload quality.
Is that theme, Human slaves in an insect nation?

He's done a lot with Bill Bailey. Even appeared in an episode of Black Books
Yes, God yes! It must be!?

"HUMAN SLAVES IN AN INSECT NATION OH AH AH AH AH!!"
The song he and his band played at the end of 'Cosmic jam' ? I don't think its the same song but a similar riff
Who is the one solitary person who doesn't like Bill Bailey? He/she must be hunted down and brought to justice.
Eight now. How?
it's the hitchhiker

Couple pounds of butter up the guts
Can't get past the canned laughter. The real Bill Bailey doesn't need canned laughter...
