Literally you inspired me and it’s 10am and my pie is in the oven. I had leftover ground beef, premade cornbread, canned enchilada sauce and kidney beans and cowboy candy. Girl we are gonna have a rock in’ good lunch.
I am 68 years old and have never made a Tamale Pie before, so now this goes on my list of things to do. Also, cowboy candy is going to be added to my canning list. Thanks!
I love this recipe for its flexibility. I don't have the canned pantry items yet, but I could use fresh. It looks delicious and I would try it. I like the way the canned beef looked so tender, along with all the different layers. I think now I am ready to try the cowboy candy.

I have 50 peppers planted inside to get me ready for more canned peppers. I do cowboy candy as well as pepper sauce and pickled peppers!
