Maybe. Although the build quality over all is better than the X, what I learned later on is, if you have the reflector on the light, the fan gets louder, because it is upfront and the fan is a bit magnified by the reflector. This creates a louder fan. Now, I didn't have a huge problem with it, but you may if you are using the reflector. With modifiers, it should be perfectly fine.
