Paul has come up with a superb idea that brings the older radios bang up to date,just looks like the old radio from the outside but works the repeaters again,great communication with paul,very helpful ,the famous ft 290r has had a new life given to it rather that sat in the box, it is out portable again, i highly recommend this board ,first class brilliant idea Paul
I have the same radio but under the name of Sommerkamp, a great radio but will need one of those boards, will see what eBay has to offer. Thanks for the nice clear video. Mike.
Hello, for anyone considering this item I thought I would post my comments. I recently purchased this item from Paul, G8WAL, for my Kenwood TS790E. It is an amazing piece of kit, especially for a radio of this age as it only had the original 1750hz tone option fitted. Paul professionally fitted the unit for me and I would have no hesitation in recommending the unit (or Paul). Purchase with complete confidence.
