In the 5th video of the CSGO Sticker Tutorial we take a look at how to view the skin in-game. Unfortunately, unlike in the old days, it’s not possible to view the sticker applied to a weapon during a match. Instead, what we’ll see is how to view the sticker in the hand preview, before it’s applied to a weapon.

I know how hard it is when someone starts working on something he/she is not familiar with. I had trouble starting as a skin maker and, due to lack of resources, even more trouble starting as a sticker maker.

I've already knew some of it because I've done stickers before, but this is pretty useful, refreshing my memory :)

Just a quick question, if I follow up with this method, and after I join the game with bots and leave, will applying the sticker that we replaced to a weapon carry over the custom texture? In your case the "Enemy Spotted" if you apply the sticker right after that game, will the "Angry Chicken" sticker show, or will it revert back to "Enemy Spotted"?
Frankly I've never tried it, but i assume it won't work. But it is worth trying because I'm really not sure

@@viperskins I just did it in game after finishing the holographic sticker. When I clicked apply to weapon and wanted to cycle positions, it is invisible. It is safe to say that you can't apply custom stickers onto guns. A shame really.

Please someone tell me how you get the agent to hold the sticker when you inspect it thanks...
In the new workbench simply click on the "Inspect" button
@@viperskins no I mean when I inspect it doesn’t show the hand just the sticker
dont work for me. but i dont have a customizations folder or sticker folder. i made them manually like u said and cant display my custom sticker.
Make sure you wrote the names of the folders correctly without typos. I know it's a trivial suggestion but it happens a lot. And if it turns out that the path is perfectly written then check that you're modifying the items_game file correctly. Go over the process again and double check the steps

Why do my stickers show scratches on in game?
I believe that the wearing in the preview is set to 0, unlike how you can set it to -1 in the SDK tool.
I suggest that, just for the in-game view, you make another VTF file with a darker alpha channel. That might make it look better
I tried the first method and there is nothing on the materials folder, is empty, what can I do?
The 1st method was to create the folders inside the materials folder. What have you done exactly??
@@viperskins the same, but inside materials the are no any of the files. I know it exist because with the csgo sdk i can find the files with the "model viewer" but the old way it is done make me unable to follow the root so doing it manually the files are not just there so I find myself stuck.

is there a way to change the sticker name in the preview? instead of the original sticker name to something custom?
Unfortunately no. The name cannot be changed.
If the name bothers you too much then you can either crop it out, or photoshop the name of your sticker in its place. But changing the name is not possible

That's impossible. You must have it. It's in this path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\scripts
Note that you might have it in a different Drive, like D or E.
Let me know if you still can't find it
I did everything step by step on this video but it didnt work, only exception was that all of these files are on my E drive, my C drive only has "Steam > steamapps > common" Counter-Strike Global Offensive is not in there, so I tried to search for it in my E drive, in there I found this path "Steam > steamapps > common > Counter-Strike Global Offensive > csgo > materials > models" so I created in there the path "weapons > customization > stickers" and pasted the vmt & vtf files, but my weapons, customization & stickers folders are all empty (except the files I pasted in the stickers folder) in the other hand your "stickers" folder is full of other stuff. IDK what is the problem, I guess I will use the SDK tool to overview my stickers.
So you created the exact path that i used, with the exception of having it on drive E instead of C? I see no reason why that should matter. If your game works on E then so should this process. So what do you see when you inspect the sticker in-game?
As for me I did not manually create the path, but used a certain process that I explained in my skin tutorial (This is the video with the exact time the relevant part starts: ruclips.net/video/TZ4ptx8CaIk/видео.html). That's why you see many other files in the folders as well
@@viperskins yes the only difference is that my path is on E. The sticker ingame looks like the original, its not blank like yours in the video. So you suggest deletin the paths I created and downloading the GCFSpace? does it matter in what drive and location I download it to? or I have to download it in a specific folder? If you don't see your own sticker or a blank sticker that means you didn't change the correct place in the items_game.txt. Double check if you edited the correct sticker block in the file. Also double check that you saved the file or changed the correct file, and not a backup of it. I know those are trivial things but I myself failed countless times on trivial mistakes like these!!
As for your question, the path should exist where your game exists. So if it's in the E drive then that's where it should be. Also if you want to create the folders using the GCFScape then you don't need to delete the path that you created. GCFScape will override it
@@viperskins thanks alot! I double checked the items_game txt and it didnt have anything wrong, I also did it again but it still didnt change in game. I copied the items_game.txt and changed the original one so i had both a backup and a modified one at the same time, so maybe that is the problem... IDK really, I will try the GCFSpace and see what happens.
@@kuriosagamisou1330 Little late to comment, but I think you could be editing the wrong place as he mentioned above, try going lower into the items_game, I had the same issue and it turned out there was 2 locations it was at, changing the lower one made it work just like it showed in the video.
is there a way to see them ingame I have seen screens of people who have done it on the new versions of csgo
How new these stickers are? I have spent an immoral amount of time trying to make it work and couldn't. Plus I asked around successful sticker makers and they said it's not possible anymore

It's alright :) I spent so much time trying to make it work, then I lost hope and started asking experts who had their stickers accepted and it turns out that option has been disabled for some weird reason.
