Hi @pnikWILLIE, fellow vietnamese here. Yes it will damage the waterproofing. What u'll need to do is after drilling the hole, grab a bicycle air pump and blow out all the dust, then apply plenty of bathroom silicone i to the hole before putting any screws in. This ensures the hole in the backerboard behind it is protected by silicone.
Hi bill great vid very informative had a problem when using the hand held leaking water from the top between the vertical rail an the top where it fixes to the wall any suggestions ?
How do I check if my shower handle is blocked or installed incorrectly or if it’s faulty? When I change it to the shower handle tap, very little water drizzles out and there’s no pressure. I had the shower and mondella fittings installed a month ago. I thought of unscrewing the handle to see if it’s blocked but I’m worried I won’t know what to look for.
Remove the handle from the hose and turn the water on to see if you have pressure with the handle off. If you have pressure then the blockage is in the handle and could be just some debris inside.

Slim when roughing in a mixer most of the time plumbers allow for provisions for a rail and run pipe around.
