@@j.pabloquinche3283 because he wrote the valediction one so it fits his playstyle. If you have tried to play the akroasis sweeps you probably know that they have pretty awkward fingerings, especially if you cant use one of your fingers

@@bladempale1751 Also he's not clean in his playing. I notice since Omnivium Obscura reduces the amount of complex tracks in their live setlist and I think it's in part for Steffen's ability. It's definitely not Muenzner or Trujilo that were limiting. Also, most recent Steffen playthroughs were clearly edited. On top of my head, the one for Emergent Evolution, check his solo where he uses the whammy bar and the video/audio don't match at all. Not a diss, I'm a big fan of Obscura, but it's a bit sad.

Cuz fleshgod apocalypse kicks were non existent couldn’t hear a single note like as if he wasn’t even playing doubles that’s how bad it was. I saw them the very next day as well. It's hard as fuck haha, that's the problem. It involves hybrid picking, multifinger tapping, sweeping, crazy position shifts... even sitting in a comfortable environment you'd have problems nailing it consistently, just imagine doing it live. Also, Rafael did play it properly towards the end of his tenure, check some 2019 vids. Mad props to him for that.
You can't really blame christian because of his illness but steffen has to practice more.He plays really sloppy and often misses notes when he's doing some solo sections
It's a really weird solo with lots of non-standard techniques in it. Tom Geldschläger's a very unique guitarist so it's hard to copy his writing, so Christian's playing his own version of both the sweeping section and the solo
Nobody is perfect my friend. If you expect perfection from anyone your gonna be disappointed. I thought he killed it and could hardly even notice any mistakes. It will always sound different live because it’s a completely different set up with mic’s and everything. I wish I could play what he did here that’s fo sho.
No I did not just leave. See my other 3000+ videos to see my track record and you will see that I don’t just leave. I always wait for any encore. Look at the thumbnail and you will see that I met all of them to sign my posters (as well as A Valediction cd). There was no encore. I checked the other setlists and they have not been playing encores. This is the typical exact set they have been playing on this tour. I am sorry you are disappointed but I hope you enjoy the 1 hour+ that I was able to get of Obscura’s full show.
@@perrycreason8014 I don't know about prices, but fair would be that the prices for those shows with no encore, were cheaper than the ones with (There's a recording from the Chicago date where they did Septuagint + Incarnated for encore). I think that the prices could be involved for the show lasting.
I see that now. I don’t know why they stopped doing encores. It looks like that happened February 25. Advance tickets were $20 but I don’t think that has to do with it. I think it has to do with timing. With a 1 hour set they likely played to the hour. Playing longer would have meant the promoter likely paid more for the venue with paying for hourly rates. Considering tickets, it may have depended on sales more than prices. Promoters that made more from sales could have agreed to pay for the venue longer and given the green light for the encore. Idk but just guessing. I am sorry this didn’t have the 2 encore songs. I did my best and got everything that I could.
They were not able to make the trip to North America for this tour so Gabe Seeber and Alex Weber, respectfully, are playing on this North American tour.

I was able to watch them and hang out with them 3 nights in a row for their Mexico tour dates as my band was the opening act, and they were such cool dudes too, they had like just a month to learn the entire set, I think that can give anybody a pretty good idea about the caliber of musicians they are. 🤘
Yes. They seem to be incredible. I talked to Gabe a bit after the show and said he had 1 month to prepare. I wonder what band either one of them are with before Obscura but they are in good hands if they return.
