DJ, you cracked me up after Tim hit those low notes! Love your reaction! Riley and Mackenzie always bring their A-game with those glorious voices of theirs, and Tim just added his extra flair with his gorgeous instrument of a voice!
to film the video in the Oregon sand dunes was a stroke of genius - as you could see in the outro, they were only a short distance form forest covered hills. And, yes, I have seen a BTS about this, but I don't recall if it was Tim's Patreon or H+F's. The Oregon Coast, even at high summer is rarely hot, but even if it was hot, that wind would not have been. They have done collaborations on their newest lullaby album with Tim (Hush-a-Bye), Chance (Puff the Magic Dragon), Jeffrey East (Return to Pooh Corner), Peter Hollens and his wife (Pure Imagination), and Rob's friend Buegs (Rainbow Connection). And, yes, each time you think "the perfect person to collab with".
McKenzie and Riley are incredible musicians on their own! Please listen to their mash up of what child is this and child of the poor. It’s a very meaningful Christmas song and beautifully done! Don’t forget to watch home Fries cover of I’ll be home for Christmas…It makes me cry with happiness every time I see it! Merry Christmas
We sang this classic Christmas song every year in my church, but it never came to life for me until I heard and saw this video. They all sang with such passion in the words that they brought the "kings" to life for me as real people speaking with real emotions. It completely changed my perception of the song. I guess that's what happens when supremely talented professionals show us how it's done.
Tim loves the heat and hates the cold. He didn't even know how to make a snowman until very recently, despite being around snow every now and then during his singing and touring career. And deserts don't need to be overly hot, anyway. But who knows? Maybe they just toughed it out real good. I didn't know this song before I stumbled on their version, and I definitely love it. Thanks for the reaction.
This song was a staple of Christmas services at school in the UK, but it never sounded this beautiful... they absolutely threw their whole heart and soul into this...stunning! Thank you for this reaction DJ. This is such a beautiful song and the reaction guaranteed a smile too... 🫶🏻 #HerdLove #HappyHerdmas
The song explains that the gifts the Magi brought were symbolic of Christ's three roles. Gold symbolizes kingship. Frankencense is an incense used by priests. Myrrh was used in embalming.
This was video’d on the central Oregon Coast Dunes - likely temperature around 15c (58/60f) and cold wind. So yes, Tim would have been suffering - but from the cold. That coastal wind bites in the US Pacific Northwest. Thanks for the reaction DJ - always enjoy!
Also, look at the sun in the video. It's clearly going down so they, probably, filmed this in the late afternoon or early evening (depending on time of the year) so the jackets were, absolutely, necessary. They, also, probably, chose that time to film on purpose so the heat of the day wouldn't melt them.
@@MJG713 Ah ok. I've only been down to Oregon a handful of times, but never out to the coast. I live in Washington so we can get crazy heat up here so I just assumed Oregon was similar since, you know, next door neighbor.
This was one of the earliest videos I saw of the Hound and the Fox, before I really knew Home Free or that there was any connection between them. It's a classic carol, but so well done.
Thank you…..thank you 🙏 for reacting to this gem 💎

I love how Tim went low on "on high." One of those subtle touches that arrangers do that make you realize they know EXACTLY what they're doing.
Her beauty here seems both ancient and timeless.

I adore them singing together. Riley and MacKenzie collaborate with some of my favorite singers.
I love the Hound and Fox videos! 🎶🥰
This has always been my favorite Hound and Fox song

@ there would have been no heat. The oregon coast is notoriously cold even in summer.

@@ForeverDegenerate inland yes, hot. On the coast it’s rarely hot, except for brookings. It tends warmer these days, but temps over 75 are still rare.
Thanks DJ 😊
My most favourite version of this song ❤

I love this one!!
Beautiful!
This song was written in 1857 by an Episcopal minister. It was meant to celebrate the Epiphany, not to sell products or sleigh rides!
