I believe, and this is only my opinion, the harmony with Marwan is sung by Marwan. My rationale is that there is not another face in the frame. I think if there was another person we would have seen who it was. Also, I love this song/arrangement. Every time I hear it; it's stuck in my head, and I fall asleep and wake up to it in my head. Or spend half the night arguing with myself if I got all the lyrics right.
Such an awesome collaboration between these talented groups and then the surprise addition of Piper Ally just makes this absolutely perfect! Thank you for this reaction DJ, absolutely loved getting to watch this with you for the Livestream way back when, means I cannot wait for the next one this weekend! :D
Luke Taylor was on American idol. In his audition, Luke Bryan had him sing Frosty the snowman. It's awesome. Watch it on your own if you want, but the whole audition is worth watching for sure. Luke Taylor is quite a guy. ❤ Peace out ✌️
For more Bass Gang and Piper Ally, I'd listen to their combined work on "Rains of Castamere" from Bass Gang's new album (the one that has the "Valhalla Calling Me" you listened to a month ago).
Always fun to hear another version of the Longest Johns Santiana. (You can tell it was based on theirs if it has Napoleon of the West - or pull the yan - because the lyrics sites couldn't handle Robbie's accent. 😂)
Luke Taylor (with the lush curls) first came to my attention when he was the first singer to record additions to Nate Evans's original The Wellerman TikTok. He's one of my favorite bass singers and I love seeing him in collaborations. If you didn't see Nate Evans's version, which started off the sea shanty craze a few years ago, please go check it out and let us know what you think. :D Thank you for sharing this reaction. I wasn't expecting bagpipes either, but I'm here for it! What a fantastic rendition! Love love love it!
yeah they do a lot of shantys they started on tictok then they wanted to make full songs when people say that they want a full song from them bobby i think was the one who put them together
So, Peter is a professional opera singer and went full ooera for this (probably had to have his sound well turned down to fit in the mix as opera singing is VERY loud). He has released some actual opera songs on his chanel. Have a listen even if you don't do a reaction to hear just what he can do. Curly hair Luke is a very low bass. It is possible that when he and Tomi sang together that Luke was the bass underneath Tomi, not the other way round. Love the honesty of your reactions, and yes the pipes are amazing. PiperAlly has her own channel too for you to check out.
For the Wellerman: curly hair is Luke, guy in the hat is Sam, and sweet voice guy is Johnny.

I’ve heard them do this song before but not like this before! This is the best! Awesome!💜💜💜
I hope they do more songs, and more of your reactions. Excellent.
You def need to check out more by the Wellermen. There is so much to love about these guys!

Try the Wellermen singing Wild Mountain Thyme! Glad you got to this one, thanks! ❤
This is epic. So many different voice styles blending so well. Amazing. I want to know who arranged it, too. My guess would be Bobby.
I think it was Bobby. I vaguely remember Peter saying that when he reacted to and broke this down over on his channel.
Peter Barber: Opirate!
Thanks DJ 😊
You have the best reactions! 😁
DAMN. That was a martial song. I agree with your reaction, lemme at that ship!
Definitely take a look at more of Ally the Piper’s stuff 🙂

I loved that moment when Peter came in all opera and you lost your head.
More Wellermen would be a great journey.

Finally someone who noticed the blue + red = purple
Speaking of subtle touches... Did you notice that Sam takes his hat off just as Johny starts the final verse (Oh Santiana now we morn...)?
