I’ve never picked this one up, or picked up that it is a 3D Afterburner clone, which is a useful description since it clearly isn’t a flight sim but on first glance could look like one. The funny thing is that on the Amstrad CPC, the same game from the same publisher is a creditable side scrolling shoot em up in the style of p47 Thunderbolt or UN Squadron. Good on Zeppelin for trying something so much more ambitious in the 16-bits, instead of just picking up where they left off with the 8-bit version.

Very interesting. Thank you for sharing. I guess they tried to do something similar that was done with Enduro Racer (the bike game) where on the ST is a port of the arcade and on some 8-bit systems it is an isometric racing game.

Starglider with water! Heh! Actually this looks pretty darn good and it appears fast too. But jerky? Hard to tell on YT but .. Never heard of it tbh but I’ll have to play it 👍🏻

The camera movement is a bit jerky IMO, Not low framerate, just to clarify that. I don't know, perhaps because there is no option to play with a mouse controller which is analog is to blame. I have only played Starglider with a mouse and it is far easier on the eyes for me.
This is a good pick up and play game, definitely not one to play for hours, but it can provide entertainment for a play or two. :)
