Yeah i think the worst of it was that even with a diagnosis of dyslexia they gaslit my family and then complained about me struggling with things and made ill informed decisions without speaking to my mum. Some of my teachers in secondary school were brilliant and let me work the way that suited me but yeah who knows where i could have been now if the right support had been in place. 😤 Feel free to vent about any of those comments youre still annoyed by! You're very lucky to live with all those beautiful trees! My early years teachers all said what an amazing vocabulary I had for a child of my age - I think I stopped showing that off as I got older & learned how to mask better!! I definitely remember teachers at secondary school saying I was so quiet they barely noticed me in class (which was my objective!). I refused to do any homework at secondary school, so I was on report my first 2 years. Then I learned to get my homework done at lunchtime or in other classes I found boring (hence being quiet at the back worked to my advantage!)
Yes i dont want to be noticed so im quiet in class because kids were bullying me and the teachers were just so ignorant to what was going on. I dont even know how i did homework in the end but as part of my adhd assessment i told them i used to forget or put off homework coz i didn’t understand it and then had huge panic attacks (or meltdowns? 🤷🏻) the night before it was due. So frustrating 😤😤 thank you for sharing your experiences!
If you have seen my video going through the form i have, the form asks for examples. The most accessible way for me to include the feedback was writing in quotes.
Thanks for answering. It's the same for the medical information, they'll not want the whole page screenshot for one quote. The form is all just so vague.
