    If you call a K series Koehler garbage, you have no clue! Probably the best garden tractor motor built.

      You're right on Glassman. I have had a Cub Cader 125 made in 1968 which has a K301 12hp Kohler in it. It runs today and has never been rebuilt. Keep oil in it and they run forever. I got it in 1972 and have been cutting grass and blowing snow with it ever since. Certainly not junk like the crap they make today. Take the Briggs Intec. ACR falls apart and you can't start it. Need to replace the camshaft. Now, that's junk.

      Absolutely one of the best engines ever made.

      Totally naive. Possibly after junior, overhauls a couple thousand Tecumseh's, and new type Briggs with plastic timing gear and pot metal compression release module, he just might come to the reality, Kohler's, just might not be garbage after all.

      @Glassman687 the older Kohlers seem well built, but I was joking saying that it was junk like the new Kohler stuff. Thank you for watching!

    Special T,
    That's a nice tractor. I remember when I was a kid a neighbor had one wasn't that big though. It had a pull rope. I thought it was pretty cool . I went to an auction and a B 80 was up for auction. I was going to go to $100 I got to thinking, I've got too much to work on now and only one other person was bidding, so I stopped at $80 and the other guy got it for $85. I was happy for him. I have no idea if he got it running or not. I do know I could turn the engine over by hand. It did have an electric starter. That's a nice machine you've got there. I think I would try painting it. If you don't, it still looks good. 😊

      @specialt9744  Год назад

      Those mowers sound awesome and I would paint it but it wasn’t my mower, I was just fixing it for someone, but it is still cool. Thank you for watching!

  • @elgrecco8888

    Make sure that old fuel pump is not leaking gas into the engine crankcase and diluting the engine oil.
    Also make sure there is no water in the gearbox / transmission.

    No offense, but I think you are the wrong person to own this Wheel Horse. You do not understand nor appreciate this tractor. Comparing it to that modern mower beside it you should know the Wheel Horse will work circles around and last far longer than modern stuff. Wheel Horse tractors got handed down from generation to generation that does not happen with modern stuff.

    • @specialt9744
      @specialt9744  Год назад +1

    The the handle for rotating the blade is on backwards. Remove all that junk nuts/bolts/washers and rotate the handle around so the offset is on the reverse side. Give me a shout if you need any manuals or help.

    • @specialt9744
      @specialt9744  Год назад +1

      That makes more sense. If it was my personal machine I would have flipped it around but it worked fine and the guy that owned it was happy with it. I’ll definitely let you know in the future if I need any manuals or anything. Thank you for watching!
