St Erik is the patron saint of Sweden, he was a martyred medieval king. St Lars is the local spelling of St Lawrence. St Olaf is the patron saint of Norway, Swedish spelling of the same name is Olof.
I really wonder what this church looked like when it was still Catholic. Before they ripped out statues and decorations, repainted the walls white and replaced all the glas windows with normal glas without colors or art work. Truly a shameful event, but I am happy you enjoyed the visit nonetheless!
It hasn’t been Catholic for 500 years and has gone through extensive remodelling during those centuries, including having the towers rebuilt twice. And continental styles didn’t neccessarily spread this far north
I'm impressed how magnificent the cathedral is. The church looks cozy and beautiful 😊
High Mass in the cathedral is lovely
@@katarinawikholm5873Can imagine that ❤
格好良い聖堂ですね。品がある。❤
華麗ではないけど落ち着いた感じでとても素敵ですね。😍😍

Sankt Erik, Lars? Sounds familiar. Maybe in the TV drama of The Viking?? 😮
Erik, Lars, Olof is a very common name there? I guess 😂😊

Looks like the cathedral is run by the Luther church.

Don't have an idea how things were going there, but surely were both brilliant 👏
