Only 5 Minutes?? Missed great points, but congrats to Sam for a wonderful win, her best in a whole time.
How To Sims and her biggest win in Australia
How To Sims her coach is pliskova old coach
For the mercy of Kerber, perhaps? Watched only a fraction of it + stats. What's going on there?! Disastrous Kerber from the very beginning of the season! Hardly believable. She doesn't look quite fit physically. Something went wrong during a off-season? Anyone?
Anyway, good to see Sam's hard working paid off! Warmest congrats! Good luck for Australia!
Omg Reneé Stubs facial expressions when Sam won the important points wow 😂
Something is wrong when Stosur actually wins a match in Australia...
Kerber has been playing pretty bad the past 12 months...
Jacob her pushing isn’t working
@@nicolasonfire4008 she was doing well before Wimbledon, get ur facts straight
Deus Ex Machina nah she started playing bad after Indian wells
Playing?!
Well done Stosur! What a way to start the year 2020!
A one slam wonder
@@jeffreykaufmann2867 A one slam wonder is better than not having to show anything at all.
Head high Angie...i will always believe in you 😊
dann believe halt weiter in sie, bis du alt und grau bist

wow.. did not expect that.. great job stosur!
Stosur's backhand has improved a lot! Congrats!!
Stoser has a great all-court game. And when on, is a thrill to see her play...
Two of my favorite players, it´s a shame one of hem had to lose...
good to see Stosur playing well again.
Stosur really needs to reduce the unforced errors ... kerber not playing on point today... too exhausted from the heat
Sammy getting better lately
I seriously have no idea about what happened in the first set...like, were there any breaks of serve or anything crunchy?? Idk we only saw the first game and then boom! We're at the tiebreaker -_-
Fiercedeity3101 Stosur was up 5-3 then Kerber made it 6-5 then it went to a tiebreak
Fiercedeity3101 both broken their serves twice
Ohje das fängt ja schon mal gut an für Kerber im neuen Jahr..
Oh LOL, was that the national anthems playing from ATP Cup? wait how close are the stadiums?
Wow. Didn't see that coming. Although it was kind of hard to see anything coming with just a couple of minutes of tiebreaks in this video...
Really pleased for Sam. Whether your opponent is on or not, you still have to go out there and do the business. Angie wont simply give it to you, you still have to earn the victory.
And Sam did. She's hitting her backhand better recently, and I'm really liking her shots closer to the sidelines and making the opponent run, sometimes wrong-footing them. This was tactically a smart match, backed by reasonably solid shots (although, to be fair, I think Sam's slice backhand isn't great).
Great win for Stosur, but i'm left wondering what's happening with Kerber over the last year or so.
B yeah I agree. Since Kerber got rid of Wim Fissette she just hasn't been playing that well. Who knows what's going on but if the Aus Open goes ahead I hope she gets far otherwise she's going to fall back into the background as the young ones come up. She had to pull out of Hawaii because of injury so maybe it's still lingering. But she's still a champion and that's something no one can take away.
agree, good for Sam to get a nice win @ home. Angie is having rough patch at the moment that started really after Indian Wells. Last year she wasn’t playing her natural winning game. There must have been behind the scenes issues with Wim because I really feel that he was the right coach for Angie considering her style and her age. Rainer was obviously not the right coach for her and Angie’s confidence dropped a lot after Wimbledon where she was the defending champion and lost in the 2R. There were some great matches that she played in 2019 (def Halep 6-4 6-3, Barty 6-4 6-4). Again to give her benefit of the doubt she had many injuries throughout the 2019 season in the clay and asian swings so I think if she is fit and healthy she will make the second week of the AusOpen.
Olympic .Fanatic yeah I completely agree. I just noticed a drop in her winning streaks after she and Fissette parted ways which I thought was strange but as you say she has been riddled with injuries so there can be many things going on. As long as you don't give up you can always come back so as long as Angie doesn't give up on herself hopefully she'll be back again in top form.
I'm wondering too; same w/ Azarenka.
After all these years Sam Stosur is finally playing well in Australia...
Stosur's spin is mad crazy.
Congrats, Samantha iloveyou!
Go Stosur! Kerber got better as the match went on
Yes
faiyazhanif80 my favourite player is Kerber but it's nice to see Stosur triumph in front of her home crowd.
greenkitty82 I love kerber aswell !
Hope she peaks at the Australian open and goes deep
@@greenkitty82 me too :) I'm a huge fan but I was rooting for Andreescu like crazy last year haha.
mmuspmdiv Andrescu has huge potential considering she has now won a grand slam but I have to always root for Angie! I'm part German so have to stay loyal but I'm sure as a younger player coming up, Andrescu is going to have a great career. 😁
Is that a center court? I mean come on, isn't there a better way to do a schedule
it's because of the stupid ATP Cup that the women have to use this second show court as a 'stadium'
@@romanHederer yeah, understand that, hope that semis at least will be on center court or even quaters
Stosur needs some wins. Good for her.
Both great players, and captivating to watch. Sam especially is incredibly pretty, stunningly beautiful, and her very strong and rippling physique is ♥️💕😍
Kerber can’t allow to lose after 5-1 in tiebreak. But she plays so much better than 2019
Stosur👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Everybody is looking forward to beating me now - Angelique Kerber
When she said that?
Jose Ignacio Vargas she said that everybody is looking forward to beating barty ?
Lol dude chill. It’s her first match of the season. She didn’t exactly lose to an awful player. Stosur really brought it today and the two have a history. Stosur denied Kerber her first slam final so this is kinda a cool match. Kerber didn’t play awful but yes she was off. Nothing constructive comes out of a careless dicky comment like that.
James Hampton well said. And also Kerber had to pull out of Hawaii because of an injury so that could still be lingering. Both are great to watch.
I hope the organizers asked Kerber if she was ok to enter the court first. Happy for Stosur though.
those were not organizers those were australians. Two different things
didnt see nearly enough points!!
2020 and the highlights are still terrible
djIV Foodie ummm in the past two years the highlights have been just fine
Fancy
Please whoever wins this donate they’re money to helping with the
