Sorry about the shaky cam. I've been trying to edit that out and set the camera down before working in my later videos. Eventually I'll get one of those cool gyro sticks, but for now my cheap, homemade magnet base is the best thing I have.
I don’t have a video, but for big engines like that you just pump the old oil out of the sump and pump new oil into it. Usually the same oil transfer pump is used for both operations.
I don't think that has a replacement interval. If it goes bad, then just replace it. I haven't worked on that boat for a little over a year now so if that has come up as then someone else would have done it.

You can charge the michiana with shop air and it’ll make the job a lot more cleaner by blowing all the oil out of the filter housing.
I got the exact same torque wrench.
It’s a fairly common one, never seem to lose that one.

you should see the fuel filters out of an emd sd40 at -25 when the fuel preheater failed, (jello) !!!
That engine didn’t have a coolant or fuel pre heaters. Im in Florida, so they thought it would always be warm.

Fred, is it common seeing soot on EMD engines in the engine box air? I heard from a friend that he is facing this soot issue
turbo, or roots blown? on a roots engine, never seen soot.....

It’s drains into the sump for the engine.
@@epicfred there is a drain valve for it, in the "ice cream" box next to the scavenging pump.

That’s just gear whine. The microphone on the GoPro sucks, so it distorts sounds. It’s not as prominent as the camera makes it seem.
