I made this blanket for my first grandchild while we were awaiting her birth. Her nursery was decorated with the little cuties oranges theme so I made the rosebuds orange and voila - they look just like little oranges! She’s now 1 year old and loves the oranges in her blanket! Thank you soooo much for this pattern and video.

@@CraftCrochet I did join. BUT I have another question, I did the second blanket and now my third and I don;t know what I'm doing to the corners...they appear to get bigger. First single crochet around the blanket in the corner is 3 single crochet, chain one, and 3 single crochet again? then all the other rows am I supposed to put in the chain one space 1 single crochet, chain 1 and 1 single crochet??
You really are quite an amazing demonstrator/teacher. I've seen similar patterns and NEVER once thought I could do it. Hi, I am expecting my baby in March 21 and I decided to try it.You influence on my first wish to make it . I have never made something like this so it will be for the very first time in my life so I am a total beginner, hopefully I will get it ready and happy with the final result. So how many chains do we need to start with? Were you one short or did you have one too many?
Trying to figure out if 142 chains is right or do we need 143? Thanks. The blanket is beautiful and I want to start it now. Making it for my Grand mother in law. 😊💗🧶
it is 142 chain, videos with subtitles if you are switch on might help you lot
What I do is this........ Chain more stitches that I need..... 140....just do a few more to be safe. Then I will do the pattern in the V stitches , it's much easier to count Vs, I think she had 70, then I just turn and work away on the main body of the blanket. You will hav a little tail at the end of your cast on chain row, you can either unpick it or just sew it in at the end. This saves all that counting in the beginning. The number of chains is not really important..... Just do it the length you want. I see this was 8months ago!!! I hope you made the blanket.

I made your blanket for my soon to arrive great niece, I put my 2 double crochets in the 1st dc of the v stitch turned out so beautiful then I used crochet for baby border with this pattern. I am so impressed with the Beauty of the blanket. I also altered the border a little bit also. I will try to put a picture in the comments somehow. I don’t know how to so I will try.
