I signed up for Gracie Combatives right before the lockdown. I was supplementing the non-Gracie school I was attending with them. Now I'm so thankful to be in this online curriculum. Gracie U is the best!

I certainly miss training in a real gym/dojo. However, I LOVE the structured approach and they do a masterful job (if a bit long-winded, lol) explaining every move... from multiple angles. It's a terrific program.

The only problem is.... now that hes got my back; How do I get back to a dominant position??? I guess the answer is Gracie University.

Another tip from Danaher that’s awesome is that if the opponent dips their chin to defend, you should put the top of your thumb under your pointer finger to make an arrow head and then dig/wiggle it into the side of the neck and underneath the chin. Once you get a little underneath the chin to the knuckle, fan out your hand, continue to wiggle and slide it with your forearm underneath the chin

SUPER good video. Tks. One tecnical question: Is there a reason for which in Bjj or for self defence it is never used the Judo Hadaka Jime choke instead of the One showed here? Isn't It more immediately painful thus more useful? Thank you in advance. And thank you for your videos.

Much respect to all you Gracie's the videos make is great as a adult I love using video format because I can learn at my own pace and I can stop it when I need to go back I can go back and there's no distractions of other people around me focus on the class now my tip for you home students of Brazilian jiu-jitsu may not have proper equipment or humans around you right now you can get your bed pillow use it to replace the human or sparring dummy that you do not have in your house and I want to do all you homeschoolers out there keep working on it all the teachers of the Gracie Academy in the BJJ fanatics ACH teach differently but that's why I tune into your videos but I frankly respect the Gracie Academy the most because there's Originals there's a family who started it all that's why I love the Gracie Brothers and all the students that appear on their show I lost four more pounds thanks the learning a simple art that I find interesting makes me very happy#gjj# BJJ fanatics# future champ of the world TC#TC#Gracie Brothers Rock#Gracie University

Someone please answer my Questions ..!
I have been practicing rear naked with my big brother who is basically double my size and quite strong ( I am a skinny boy ) whenever I try to choke him it doesn't work he is able to sit there for almost a minute while i apply the Rear naked as hard as I could and eventually after a min or so he successfully takes his hand above his shoulder ( Imagine you trying to scratch your back ) and grab my hand or fingers whatever he can and is able to break of my grip !!
What am I doing wrong ? Is it because I am too weak Compared to him ?? Or my Hands are too skinny to apply the pressure properly?? How come i don't see other People in the videos and in fights , break the grip by going over their shoulders and grabbing the opponent hands like my brother does with me??
