By this point, production of Dallas was moved entirely to Los Angeles to cut costs. Previously, they would film location shoots in Dallas, Texas and the rest in Los Angeles. A factor of this was the Southfork set in Texas could no longer be used, and Southfork scenes were instead filmed on a studio mock up in Los Angeles.
While in later years the method of counting the number of seasons (mainly thanks to the DVDs) states there are 14 seasons of Dallas,, my memory from the time is the mini series in 1978 wasn’t strictly counted as a season and the penultimate year of Dallas (1989-90) was classed as season 12. Dallas had a mini series plus 13 full seasons.
Sue Ellen made a fortune for herself and hooked up with a British beau, Jenna went to Europe with her daughter, Donna divorced Ray and moved to Washington, DC, and Pam flew overseas to get treatment for cancer but died during surgery. The last blonde in the credits is April Stevens Ewing, who married Bobby, but was killed while they were on honeymoon. The blonde with the short hair is Michelle Stevens, April's sister, who eventually marries Cliff Barnes. The blonde before Lucy is Callie Ewing, J.R.'s second wife.
@@heldernorte1394 Michelle did marry James, but he was still married to the mother of his son Jimmy (whom J.R. grew very fond of), and that marriage was short-lived. James then told her he was leaving with first wife and child, Michelle sold half of Ewing Oil to Cliff, who then marries her while she is drunk, in order to get all of Ewing Oil. She then kills the woman who killed April and is sent to jail. J.R. got the D.A.'s office to drop the charges, and Michelle sold her half of Ewing Oil to J.R., making him partners with Cliff.
This music reminds me the good old days. I just sat front of TV just to listen this tune. Nostalgia !
Happy 40th anniversary DALLAS
This was broadcast for the first time in 1990, its from the 1989 / 1990 season!!!
Also it's season 13 DVD counting
This is the opening theme from the 1989 / 1990 season, not 1988!
I loved this season 13 with twelve people in the cast intro. I also loved the Texas Flag around the outside of the intro!

I love the very ending and the six added notes to accommodate the addition in cast members! They used this ending in year 10 as I recall!
One of the greatest themes in tv history
Dallas ist großartig. 👍👍👍
0:44 - Stephanie Rogers (Lesley-Anne Down, Sunset Beach) is gorgeous
Season 13- the best from that season and my top3 fav renditions of all time

90-91 would effectively be season 13
I'm writing that i would it if all 356 episodes from all 14 seasons of DALLAS was to become available to stream on MAX in 2024.
Miss Ellie ( Barbara Bel Geddes) my favorit 😍🤎👍
This is my all time Favorite long intro from season 12 . All the others were too short from season 1 to 11
0:47 Patrick Duffy If You Dallas And Love Memory 1978 Dallas 1991
THE ABSOLUTE END WITHOUT LINDA GRAY
And Victoria Principal too
It was bad before Linda left.
1989-1990
Personally I like Sheree J. Wilson on Dallas better than I do Walker Texas Ranger
Cathy Podewell always looked like she was blind in the opening titles. Somebody should have had a word with her.
CBS season 12, 1989-90, version 3
Cody was in Dallas!?
0:50
Duffy Duffy Duffy duffy.. DUFFY
That's Season 13!
Originally this was CBS season 12, 1989-90. Renamed season 13 when they dvd’s were released.
I never cared for the ending of the theme in this version.
Where are Pam, Sue Ellen, Ray, Donna or Jenna? And who are these unknown blondies and the young guy? :O
