I was 19 when 28 days later came out. 23 years old for 28 weeks later and now I’m 41 for 28 years later. These are the horror films I’ve grown up with.
Damn you aged 18 years when 28 weeks came out? Must have really affected you!!!
You're the same age as me. I didn't watch the first 2 until I was in my 30s, very much looking forward to this one!
Similar for me, I was 18 when 28 Days Later came out and someone who was obsessed with all things film back then (I was studying TV and Film), I was just blown away by it. I liked 28 Weeks Later but did not give me the same joy as 28 Days.
However all these years later, seeing this trailer and I get the same feelings as I did sat in that dusty cinema all that time ago!
I hope you enjoy years later
Dude me to I'm gonna be 41 in march
10:03 its not just an M, it says JIMMY, if you adjust screen settings it's more visible
so freaking excited for this
HOFFA?
I didn’t notice that. That gives me chills
Damn, good catch.. now i wonder if that was really implying our Jim from the first movie, because that would be INSANE if he became this character that is worshipped by a group of people or infected
Also it’s not his back. It’s his chest and abdomen. You can see his belt buckle right above the J.
Came here to say this, good on you
28 Days Later is absolutely in my top 5 favorite movies of all time. I'm so excited.
The church scene still haunts me
Really? It’s a basic zombie movie…
28 weeks later is my favorite
literally the best zombie franchise ever made, and i never thought they would revive this. SO PUMPED FOR THIS LFG!!!!!!
Not Zombies tho
@brobro4566 I know, it's just easier to say that lol
We had to listen to that damn poem all night in SERE POW camp, sitting in little concrete boxes.
shit gave me some rough memories 😅😅 wife knew they got me
The brand on the guys back isn't just an M. It spells JIMMY vertically
I saw this too. Its gotta be Jim
Or jimmy from the start of the trailer who is likely 28 years older and leading a cult of some sorts - he came from a. Religious household and probably sole survivor of the the attack on day one.
@@fugitivepete85I can already see the way these movies are going to pan out just by this teaser. The main conflict of these movies will be a crazy religious cult and not the zombies. I think the zombies will be smarter and somehow somebody will be using them to an advantage
@fugitivepete85 Pure speculation, but I think that IS him in the trailer (and not just a dream sequence, considering the two times in the trailer we see 'JIMMY' written), and he's some sort of "evolved" infected that is some sort of diety to them
@odd08 Lmfao It was already confirmed that's not Cillian Murphy, it's another actor called Angus Neil. Look up an article from the guardian. The actor who plays that infected just came forward friend.
Nobody sleeps on 28 days. It’s a classic.
The Sandra Bullock movie?
Cillian said a while ago that he would be involved in a sequel. He works according to his own clock - once Danny Boyle and Alex Garland came on board and they produced a superior screenplay, Cillian signed onboard. He is also one of the producers. This movie is like one of his babies. And to think it all started with a quirky, creepy, freaking scary zombie movie.
Surprised Jessica didn't make any reference to that one GIANT infected. He seems to be at least 8ft tall based on the quick shots, so that could be one of the mutations.
Yeah if you also look at the recent poster the hand grabbing the decapitated head looks huge
Is alpha
And he is the one watching, not running. There is reflection there.
@carolinesser-miles6608 yeah and big and muscle
That's not a giant
I was born in 1997 and will be 28 when this film drops. I was an avid Teletubbies fan 😂 got the proper oldschool vibes from that opening.
Any vets get SERE flashbacks? Boots… boots…
Yessir
The M must mean Mephisto 😂
No it says jimmy look down his spine see the Y above the M
The horse has died and become a zombie
It's a joke @@MissElviraWales
The original scared the shit outta me as a kid lmaooo
Same. Still haven't properly watched it as an adult.
Same, I loved it! It was the first “zombie” movie I had seen with bath salts marathon running, bile spewing, smart and savage infected and I was HOOKED. Insanely good movies, can’t wait for this one.
This is how trailers should be made! (They used to be made this way...)
This is how to do sequels!
Wow, I can't wait.
It is also scary how quickly the 22 years has gone since the original film came out. It makes me feel old.
That dialogue MAKES THE WHOLE TRAILER INSANE
Aaorn Taylor is the evolved infected we see in the trailer. If you paused it at 1:33, you can literally see his face.
As soon as you said “island cut off by a causeway” I was “Lindisfsrne!” Spent a lot of time there as a kid. Sometimes talking with my cousin about how good it would be in a zombie apocalypse! The escape towers on the cause way set up as watch towers to guard the entrance. This has made me a little more excited about this!
I'll be 28 years old when this film comes out 😮
Quite possibly the best movie trailer I have ever watched.
At 4:28 does anybody else think this island looks like a mini Africa?
At 10:16 it says Jimmy!!! Not just M.
@@icewaterwitlemon and the only kid who speaks in the trailer ( the nephew) its called "Jimmy" by his aunt
British Horror films just hit different I stg.
I really hope this lives up to the hype after such a long wait after 28 days 😭
(I know 28 weeks later exists, but Imma probs assume they're gonna pretend like that didn't happen in this one, lol)
Shawn of the Dead 😘👌
No, because it said in the trailer it spread weeks, so they are acknowledging 28 weeks later
28 weeks is still good why would they ignore it
For a laugh 💀
(Idk)
How did they pull of a awesome trailer without dialogue? Absolutely brilliant ❤
I am so excited! I kind of wish we don’t get another trailer so hopefully the plot can remain under wraps
28 days later is my absolute favorite zombie movie of all time. The best, not only because the zombies move very fast
The script for 28 days later is nothing but genius. I expect nothing less for this and it's continuation in part two or part 4?
Plus a part 3 (5) as well
Didn't even know this was coming out, but now that I do, I'm pretty pumped for it.
28 days later
28 weeks later
28 months later
28 years later
28 decades later
28 centuries later
28 Millennia Later
28 GTAs later
This reminds me of the The Matrix trailer. When it first came out, you didn't know wtf was going on, but you wanted more anyways
I was a sophomore in high school when 28 Days Later came out. Watched it at the drive-in in my hometown. Going back for 28 Years Later when it comes out.
So perhaps the island residents are one of the few pockets of ‘unevolved’ humans left. The other factions being the original Rage virus infected and mutated Rage infected?
the running zombies give me attack on titans, running crazily on a grass field, the island reminds me of paradis island.
you're right, my love for this franchise demands the reminder that they are NOT zombies 🥲
Danny Boyle reiterated such so many times
The infected hanging upside down
Carved into its flesh isn't an "M" it says "JIMMY" downwards rather than left to right.
@@mike4eyedean and the only kid who speaks in the trailer ( the nephew) its called "Jimmy" by his aunt. Maybe its the antagonist
Saw 28 days in the theater in Guam when I was 23… and I loved it. Reminded me of a serious take on night of the comet era zombie films… blew me away
Very excited. 28 days is one of the movies that made me go to film school
Was really hoping y'all would do this so I'm stoked
Thank goodness!! I can’t believe this movie is coming out lol. I remember where I was for each movie 🤣🤣
You dare question the words of the mighty Jimmy 8:01
28 Days Later is an amazing film. I enjoyed the second one as well (28 Weeks Later.) The Teaser is wonderful !! I am completely terrified !! I really dive into movies. I am like a fly on the wall when I watch them. This is going to be great. I cannot wait.
Thanks for the video.Have watched reaction vids for this trailer all day and by far your video is the best.
Looks like the hanging corpse read “Jimmy” instead of just “M”.
Love your work, Jessica!
I’m excited to see Edvin Ryding in this. I assume his role will be small, but it’s cool to see him breakout into English roles.
Loved the video and jess of course. But the “menacing Patrick!!!” Absolute perfection
One of the few movies where one and two were PHENOMENAL. quiet place as well as of late. (Hot take [AND SMILE])
28 Days Later was the movie that kicked of the "zombie" craze, but none could compare to it. This teaser trailer was effin' amazing. I'm so psyched about this movie now. I had no idea there is a part 2 coming out as well. This is pure awesomeness.
Absolutely wrong
lol, what zombie craze? there have been zombie movies coming out almost every year since the 50s ...
Honestly, if this was just the only trailer for this movie, I'd still watch it.
I'm soo happy they are making this. I love this trilogy
So hyped for this movie! Hope Cillian isn’t an infected only a hallucination!! Or maybe he’s evolved past zombie
Best. Trailer. EVER 🤯
WOOO I LOVE THIS TRAILER!!! enjoyed both 28 Days and Weeks later films
This is one of the best teasers I've seen in a long time; Very eerie and captivating. In my opinion actual trailers, not just teasers (especially for thrillers and horrors) need to be brief and slightly enigmatic. Some trailers reveal too much
The hype is so real!
Wild theory: Jim is one of the evolved zombies. He's got the longevity and hunger of a zombie, but has still kept some of himself. I think he'll contsantly be fighting with himself while he acts as a silent guide of the protagonists.
Imma be honest Jess, never seen the trailer or the original movie, just clicked cause it's y'all, figured it had to be good
I always love the napalming scene in 28 weeks later!! 😎
So hyped for this and I love Jody Comer!
I am so stoked for this one!
I've never seen any of the movies in this franchise. I should check them out.
I’m soooo hyped
This trailer is just terrifying, I’m shocked you’re covering this
Yea, I can't wait for this
Clicked so fast
I don't know if anyone has made this connection yet or not but I believe the constant "Jimmy" reference is referring to Cillian Murphy's character.
Woo excited. I want to watch them all in order again. A feeling marvel hasn’t been able to replicate since end game.
Terrific update! Love what you do!!
I didn't watch the other two movies (mostly because I didn't know they existed) but this teaser is hauntingly gorgeous. Definitely gonna check them out. 🧟♂️
According to The Guardian, the emaciated zombie/infected is not Cillian Murphy, but an actor named Angus Neill, who was cast by Danny Boyle himself because of his incredibly gaunt appearance and physique.
Awsome video Jessica. Remember renting 28 Days when I was 13 year old just LOVING IT. For my horror finding out that Danny Boyle Showed the movie at my towns filmfestival half a year before……. I could have kidnapped him having him in my cellar making me many movies. BUMMER
Can't wait for the release.
O I love yall for making this.
I’m gonna have to rewatch the first two again - looks like the infected have become smart
In Alex Garland I trust. I shall be there day one. I am hyped.
The first kid who speaks (the nephew) in the trailer is called "Jimmy", he is probably the antagonist of the film.
Jessica, the arrows idea is great but I will raise you a Katana as the most effective weapon in the apocalypse
I'm surprised that they're making this movie, but I'm looking forward to it 💯💯💯
"Would you like to ride the bone train to the bone temple? Keep calm... Come along... Ride the bone train." -Modern English Proverb
i’m so excited for this movie, I was 12 when the first one came out.
I love that these IP’s are getting renewed, but for the love of god can Hollywood PLEASE stop revealing at the first reboot that it’s getting a trilogy and just wait until the 2nd film drops? It really makes the audience go into it going “well they’re not gonna do this this this this and this because there’s 2 other movies after”.
They actually did it!
I love a good zombie franchise and cant wait to dive into the first two again since I havent watched them in ages.
I think Jimmy is Jim (Cillian Murphy) and he created and became a leader of an infected cult in the movie and survivors have started worshiping the dead that is why there is 28 Years Later Part II: The Bone Temple
I just want to point out that they aren't traditional zombies, or even undead. They're virus ravaged humans that have no control over their functions. Just like it TLOU, they aren't dead either.
People have used that poem and the Teletubbies theme to phycologicaly torture people. Strange.
Excited for this! Cillian murphy best not be a zombie, it makes the original film seem pointless..
His role is just to drive the narrative, having a character with plot armour in this kinda franchise makes no sense - nobody is safe!
At 10:05 its not a branding of an M if you look closely someone carved “JIMMY” into his skin.
I absolutely love this teaser
I work overnights, so this trailer dropped at 3am and I stared at my phone like God had texted me himself lmfao
Never seen any of these movies. I clicked to see what the hype is about this movie
28 Days Later is well worth a watch. The 'Zombies' move real quick, infection turns people almost instantly and it's called the rage virus for a reason. If you end up liking 28 days you may as well watch 28 weeks too, even though it isn't as good imo.
You know what’s crazy the original came out in my birth year of course I remember watching the OG movie then 28 weeks later (obviously loving them) when I was younger and I always wanted a 28 months later and years later film but obviously we didn’t get months later but we have this one and let me tell something this personally my most anticipated horror movie of next year.
I had that CD tower.
I think "Jimmy" is sort of a big infected leader, its the bug one standing in the scene where all the other ones are running and its the one we see the chest of running in the water. The infected maybe have started building a tribal society of sorts, and jimmy is their leader.
I would literally be 28 years old when this movie releases.
There was a picture on the wall a painting 🖼️ but it's gone in the next second watch it back
The first zombie film that made the zombies actually run! And freaking scared the shit outta people!
Getting serious cult vibes. Maybe Jim from the first movie (Jimmy) was one of the main reasons why humanity is still around, and has risen to a religious figure in the past 28 years. So freaking excited for this
3:02 especially since we know that tv was being watched by a half dozen young children
Angus Neil-is the "zombie". It is NOT Murphy
confirmed by boyle himself, just curious what murphy's role in this film will be
2:00. Technically they're not the "undead zombie" kind of zombies.
Are we all now yhis old waiting for this to happen? Wow.
