Man, you have no idea how this video saved me the past week. I was able to create THREE movie posters with AP CC 2022 with just this video as guide. There are lots of basic but very useful lessons here for someone like me who has little (or none) experience in photoshop. I hope you make more tutorials man. Liked and subscribed. Kudos! PS. If you can also explain what the features do that would really help. I mean you did in this video most of the time but like the "Shift Edge" option you did not mention what that does. ^^
@@thisguydoesphotoshop Top Gun themed movie posters for different departments at work and they were for a poster contest (well, one of them was)., replaced top gun pilots and other pilots I got from google images with employee heads and created 3 movie posters out of them., Our team poster actually won! The last time I used photoshop was exactly 14 years ago and I wasn't any good even then.. You literally saved me (and our team) lol! Thank you so much man! More power to you.

I just purchased the creative cloud tonight and I found this video to help ease me into adobe products and this was a fantastic tutorial for beginners! I will be using this video side by side my first few attempts, thank you bro! Big like dropped and a new sub gained!
You video was very easy to follow and I appreciate the step by step tutorial! I also want to say thanks for showing different methods in the event one doesn't work!
Matching the face colour using Curves does not work. I am sure I am correctly following the tutorial. It will change to a darker colour. Also manually changing is not a solution, I cannot find a good match just playing with cursors. Are there some presetting required in order to work?
Sorry, didn't see this. The 2 most common ways are to: 1) open the second image, select all, copy and paste on the other image/project (or just drag it over) 2) go up to file, then select place embedded Hope that helps
There is an issue at blending, if I select white, I am able to add more of the second photo but if I click on black, nothing changes even thought I have the mask selected. Help!
hey there is it possible if you could do an updated version of this video for 2024 because some of the tools on photoshop dont have the same layout or have some tools now have different names
i love how easy it i to follow you thank you. I am having a problem with the rest of the picture still being there even after i move the head can you please help me
you're the best man! it was super clear and also you set another sample like luca on a different scene (for cloning stuff / content aware). thanks man! much love from philippines.
Nice and helpful, but a few things. When you want to adjust the color on Sandler's face, you click the half circle thing, then choose curves, then the other half circle thing - I don't get another half circle thingy. I get something else, I tried clicking on it and I use the middle picker and pick a sample color and the whole thing turns "wonky" at this point (your it happens later when you picked a second time on his face), so I choose the little folder thingy saying only the head layer and not the whole thing and the face is all blueish. .... I never am able to use it, when I play with the 100% thingy, I have to zero it every time. Then at the end - you said you like to join all copies and make a copy of the copy's and then put the.... WAYYYYYY too much and too hard. Just go to "Layer, then at the bottom choose "flatten" -one click did what you took about 4 clicks to do. Very helpful video, but I need a more time to get the matching colors thing right.
Yes, there are many different ways to match color in Photoshop (easiest now is probably in the newer neural filters). I tend to mix them up depending on the video (instead of doing the same way all the time). As for the flatten part, I didn't want to flatten the whole thing, as I always try to keep a copy of all the layers hidden underneath just in case I still want to go back and adjust something afterwards. If I flattened the whole thing, then I would have now created a new single image/layer (which is destructive)...and I never like to do.
Only problem is that the light sources is from above for Doncic (in the arena), so flipping horizontal wouldn't help in this case. Adam's face a shadow on it that I could have maybe tried to fix though...
Do you know that you are a king?
Ha! Thanks. Glad you liked it! 👑
Thank you...very well done. Nice and easy to understand. Cheers!
You are welcome! Glad it was helpful. 👍
Thank you, it means a lot to me

You video was very easy to follow and I appreciate the step by step tutorial! I also want to say thanks for showing different methods in the event one doesn't work!
You're very welcome!
Ahhhh thanks so much, this was super helpful and one of the better tutorials on this I've seen so far!

Sorry, didn't see this. The 2 most common ways are to:

Match color.
I like to use a variety of color matching techniques. Newer one in Neural filters crashes on me all the time though.
You're a legend 👏♥️
thanks! works great
Excelente.
What’s the name of the software?
Windows paint app
Photoshop
😊Thank you
amazing video
Amazing video thank you !
thank you!!
You're welcome!
I have a sample for you if you can work on it?
super detail and helpful🤩
Pay attention to light source. Flip horizontal.
Only problem is that the light sources is from above for Doncic (in the arena), so flipping horizontal wouldn't help in this case. Adam's face a shadow on it that I could have maybe tried to fix though...
Adam: "WHY IS MY HEAD ON LUKA DONCIC'S BODY?"
