ChristiMD Medical Group Thermiva is a win for feminine medicine that’s for sure. That male shaped radio frequency device is amazing.
The CO2 laser from that other company is also very nice win.
But what about Masculine medicine? Thermiva could be the answer for masculine medicine.
Masculine medicine should have a female shaped version of that radio frequency device. Make a female shaped elastic version of that device.
Otherwise masculine medicine will lag behind and that’s a form of inequality.

This is what I hate about videos made by doctors. They always say let me know if you have any questions and comment below. I see many questions and I see absolutely no comments from the doctor. Except to say you're welcome. Stop offering to answer our questions if you don't intend to answer them.

So informative Dr. Christine! I’m 59, (post?) menopausal. The ads for vaginal rejuvenation make it sound like it’s this sexy frivolous thing for young women who want a tighter vagina for their man. Gave up on sex and relationships when it was so painful, I bled and cried. I tried the estrogen cream sporadically, messy didn’t know what I was doing, basically not instructed and too mortified to ask. Suffering in silence for too many years. Now I know. Thank you! Another point to be made in the issues regarding the reasons for the acceleration of vaginal atrophy,
is caffeine consumption, sugars and alcohol…of course these 3 habits in particular must be addressed regarding menopausal and post menopausal issues in their contribution towards the thinning and dryness do to the hormonal changes ……..Any foods and liquids that dehydrate are a culprit…..quality fats and getting a grip on food allergies will help considerably…….a more keto diet and quality fluids throughout the day…

I'm sure she meant olive oil and coconut oil just as they naturally are, not any special products. I used to use olive oil on external parts to sooth dryness and soreness for a few years, which helps a lot. Then I heard about coconut oil being used for this problem and have been using it for a few years myself, it really helps. I mentioned it to my Doctor and she was very happy, said coconut oil has antibacterial properties which is great. I haven't used internally, but from the information the Doc gave here, seems she approves of that. I have been prescribed estrogen pessaries so seems to keep internal area okay. Don't be afraid to try the oils, they're very soothing. Good luck.

Coconut oil is actually a solid at room temperature even though it is called an "oil". It is also antimicrobial which means it fights bacterial, viral and fungal infections without side effects.

The Mona Lisa Touch is expensive in Australia ($600 - $700) per visit. There's 3 visits initially and I needed top ups every 5-6 months. This cannot be claimed on medicare, so costs are completely out of pocket. The treatment itself remained painful for me, even when using a topical anaesthetic cream. It also takes 5-10 days to recover and starts to deteriorate about a month before the next treatment. So not ideal. The oestrogen based cream is also required. So for many of us, this is a big cost undertaking with patchy results. I can't help wondering if men suffered this problem if the treatments would be better and free!

Your comment about men is stupid. It's up to women to fix women's problems not men. How are men meant to know the problems if they don't suffer from it themselves? Do you know older men's problems and what they feel like? And if you did, would they be your first priority to cure or would it be issues you understand better yourself?

I was diagnosed with lichen sclerosis at menopause, and I have been using Betaderm cream for over 20 years now and I get checked regularly by my GP. I have experienced complete atrophy of the labia folds over the years but, recently, the condition seems to be responding well to just Sudocream application and/or Vaseline. I have not used the Betaderm cream now for over a month and my condition seems fine and I’m not experiencing any itching or burning hardly at all. Do I need to worry about further atrophy of the genitalia or worsening of incontinence from discontinuing the Betaderm? I was concerned about the prolonged use of the steroid so I stopped using it as an experiment. I was also noticing some swelling of my face recently and some occasional sweating. Are there withdrawal symptoms from discontinuing the Betaderm? Many thanks for your channel - it is very informative and the comments are helpful.

Gel sticks to the skin better than creme. It takes 7 straight days before you will feel results. What I did was shower in the morning rub in Vaseline then wash at night put on Lamisil Gel.

@@TexSquirrel Don't use any kind of soap or non-soap cleaners. Just clean water. I started using pure organic cocoa butter to soothe the vulva area and vagina. Some people use coconut oil and/or olive oil. Must use a mat or towel on bed to absorb melted butters and oils. My Lichen Sclerosis went away. Hint: be careful of abrasive quality of menstrual pads. They rub the delicate tissues of the vulva. I bought a bidet attachment for my toilet that keeps me very clean and cuts down on abrasion from toilet paper. If using toilet paper, blot, don't wipe vulva. :)
