ChristiMD Medical Group Thermiva is a win for feminine medicine that’s for sure. That male shaped radio frequency device is amazing.
The CO2 laser from that other company is also very nice win.
But what about Masculine medicine? Thermiva could be the answer for masculine medicine.
Masculine medicine should have a female shaped version of that radio frequency device. Make a female shaped elastic version of that device.
Otherwise masculine medicine will lag behind and that’s a form of inequality.

Another point to be made in the issues regarding the reasons for the acceleration of vaginal atrophy,
is caffeine consumption, sugars and alcohol…of course these 3 habits in particular must be addressed regarding menopausal and post menopausal issues in their contribution towards the thinning and dryness do to the hormonal changes ……..Any foods and liquids that dehydrate are a culprit…..quality fats and getting a grip on food allergies will help considerably…….a more keto diet and quality fluids throughout the day…

So informative Dr. Christine! I’m 59, (post?) menopausal. The ads for vaginal rejuvenation make it sound like it’s this sexy frivolous thing for young women who want a tighter vagina for their man. Gave up on sex and relationships when it was so painful, I bled and cried. I tried the estrogen cream sporadically, messy didn’t know what I was doing, basically not instructed and too mortified to ask. Suffering in silence for too many years. Now I know. Thank you! You may have changed my life 🎉

The Mona Lisa Touch is expensive in Australia ($600 - $700) per visit. There's 3 visits initially and I needed top ups every 5-6 months. This cannot be claimed on medicare, so costs are completely out of pocket. The treatment itself remained painful for me, even when using a topical anaesthetic cream. It also takes 5-10 days to recover and starts to deteriorate about a month before the next treatment. So not ideal. The oestrogen based cream is also required. So for many of us, this is a big cost undertaking with patchy results. I can't help wondering if men suffered this problem if the treatments would be better and free!

@@laraoneal7284 My partner loves using coconut oil. Listening to him you'd think it's the best thing next to sliced bread and pockets. It absolutely works for is but I would personally like to have something that is spontaneous and doesn't have to be kept around for use at the time. And that doesn't stain the sheets. The first time we tried it I had handprints on my sheets thst took multiple washes to get out. I recently turned 50 and he 57. Our sex life is AMAZING!!!!! But as we age, things definitely change. I had a hysterectomy 2 1/2 years ago and even though I kept my ovaries, dryness became a big problem in my opinion. He says it's not a problem but for me it is. Also, the ability to orgasm changed. I am utterly fulfilled with our sex life yet I'd still like to have the kind of orgasms I did prior to the hysterectomy. We are all about experimenting and experiencing new levels of physical intimacy. And for our ages, I think we do pretty darn well. Fantabulous even!!!!!!!!! My sex life is way better than it ever was in my 20s and 30s. Granted, a partner can make all the difference. My late husband was not passionate or any of the things most women want. When I met my current partner 8 years ago, he rocked my world!! I think I rocked his as well. Eight years later and we're still going strong. He is kind, positive, passionate and compassionate. It makes it so much better when your partner is that way. I didn't realize how amazing sex could be until I was in my early 40s. I am certainly not willing to give it up for some dryness.

I ordered Vitamin E suppositories for the vagina--but by 2020 I experienced some desperate symptoms, indicative of cystocele (bladder prolapse). On a Facebook forum, I learned that doctors in the UK prescribed Estriol to women before surgery in order to tone up/strengthen their vaginal walls. I was able to source this cream online. My symptoms disappeared. Ladies, we need estrogen. Get it, get it, get it.

Went through menopause 10 years ago. I'm 68 and have no symptoms except dryness. I can't believe they call it atrophy!! It almost makes me angry. Do they have something equally disgusting to call one of the man problems 😂 Yuva Fem vaginal tablets work with no side effects for me. I only use one a week because I wanted to use the least amount as possible to resolve the symptom. It also cuts down on the cost. I tried the cream a few years ago and stopped as it made me feel hormonal again. But there are probably different versions of everything.

Now I also do Diasport. what I hate is that all of this Hass to be paid out of pocket and insurance pays nothing for women’s care. That’s despicable the Mona cost $2800 initially and then 900 every year the Diasport cost is $600. And the first two have to be three months apart. I am so blessed to have the means to have this done I feel so sorry for any woman and supposedly it’s like 80% of women post my menopausal have issues.

A friend of mine used the oestrogen cream for vaginal dryness and was reassured by her doctor that it was totally safe. Failed to mention that it can lead to endometrial hyperplasia - the treatment for which is no fun at all - either a coil which has a risk of breast cancer, or a hysterectomy with all its potential complications. Still waiting for results whether the E.H is malignant or not. In the Ik we are now selling this stuff over the counter - hope there is a warning on the packet that you should get an ultrasound every few years to make sure you are not getting EH.
So glad that I had fibroids in my 40s and from that did research on the menopause - prepared by ensuring the healthy weight with normal body fay (around 20% - fat stores oestrogen) and took herbs for my adrenals - these glands kick in during the menopause to produce some oestrogen - providing a cushion for the "transition". They cannot do that if you have adrenal exhaustion from stress etc). Also a healthy gut microbiome. As a result had a menopause with no symptoms whatsoever - just periods were every 6 months for 2 years and then stopped. I did not expect this - i had had problems with my thyroid, so I was not optimistic that my endocrine would do well in menoapuse - but it did.
I feel for those who do not do well and ths symptomes are not fun to say the least - but the reasons why they stopped dishing out hormones has not gone away - it is just cancer seems to be normalised. Another friend in her 80s was on HRT for years - it did give her symptom relief - but she is now on treatment for breast cancer - the side effects of the tablets are not fun. Another firend was on HRT as had to have a hysterectomy when young. She has done very well - apart from DVT which nearly killed her. Fortunately survived and she is doing very well on blood thinners. So she has got through it ok.
I am sure that HRT when properly monitored has its place - but we need to go into this with our eyes open - then you can monitor for potential risks to ctach any problems early. Also you can make lifestyle changes - eg healthy diet etc, and this may impove your outlook. The trouble is, if people are told something is completely safe ( and docotr's definition of safe is not the same as the idea of safe that the person taking the meds, has.), they may continue with unhealthy habits - stuff you can get away with when young, but not with ageing DNA
So not saying don;t take - but do a risk benefit analysis on the reality - not on reassurances.
I hope you find a happy and healthy path through the menopause and do your own reading and research. Love the tip below about coconut oil Fortunately don't need at present (in my 60s now and 10 years post menopause) - but something to bear in mind

I was diagnosed with lichen sclerosis at menopause, and I have been using Betaderm cream for over 20 years now and I get checked regularly by my GP. I have experienced complete atrophy of the labia folds over the years but, recently, the condition seems to be responding well to just Sudocream application and/or Vaseline. I have not used the Betaderm cream now for over a month and my condition seems fine and I’m not experiencing any itching or burning hardly at all. Do I need to worry about further atrophy of the genitalia or worsening of incontinence from discontinuing the Betaderm? I was concerned about the prolonged use of the steroid so I stopped using it as an experiment. I was also noticing some swelling of my face recently and some occasional sweating. Are there withdrawal symptoms from discontinuing the Betaderm? Many thanks for your channel - it is very informative and the comments are helpful.
