Absolutely love the neutrogena. It is a must have for me. I have used it for about 8 months and have noticed a huge difference. In both fine lines, Pores and skin brightening.
Have tried both. Although Olay is more gentle, Neutrogena definitely works better for me. There's adaptation period with Neutrogena but I like it way better results wise long term
Just started using the Neutrogena and love it. I have very dry skin on certain areas of my face and this stuff has fixed that issue. So far I have also noticed my skin looks better and feels better with less visible wrinkles.
Great in depth review. Compared to other reviews I find yours unbiased and more informative on the ingredients themselves. I haven't tried the Olay but the Neutrogena product I find works well for me due to my dry skin.
Just adding retinol to my skin care routine ... I really appreciate the very thorough comparisons and discussing the important ingredients in each product!!
This is what I do ... morning: wash face, alternate vitamin c every other day ( I built up to it started out every two days) with a vitamin c derivative, very light moisturizer ( I have oily sensitive skin) then sunscreen .... midday: usually just reapply sunscreen ... evening: wash face, alternate retinoid every other day with Matrixyl 3000 started slow with the retinoids too because they are irritating, moisturizer .. I keep really simple ... most days I like to take my makeup off early evening so I wash my face apply a toner then when I go to bed I add the retinoid and moisturizer... hope this helps
I started with Neutrogena and shift to Olay without really knowing their differences. I didn't notice a difference on the effects on my skin. But I prefer how the Olay feels on my skin.
SAME FOR ME. THE ONE THIUNG INOITGICED IS THE SMELL OF NEUTROGENA. IT WAS AWFUL. HOWEVER, WHEN USING OLAY I BROKE OUT. HOWEVER THAT MIGHT BEEN FUE TO SUMMER HUMIDITY.
I’ve been using the Neutrogena Retinol for 4 years now and I love the results. I will continue to use it for life. I’m 35yo , have brown asian skin. I apply the cream only at night 3-4 times a week and just use a regular moisturizer on other nights coz my skin burns with regular use. I found that giving it some break helps my skin to adjust especially in the beginning. All the benefits stated in this video are true based on my experience using it. My skin glows , pores are smaller, helps with wrinkles and exfoliating dead skin too.

I bought both too and I like both of them so I alternate them! I use the Olay when the weather is warmer and I want a lighter consistency. The Neutrogena is a richer moisturising product and I use it on the back of my hands.
I tried Neutrogena as my first retinol and after 5 months, just finished my first jar. I loved the thicker consistency, overall feel and even the smell (though it is fragrance free). My skins texture is notably smoother. I’m now trying Olay 24. It’s a much thinner consistency but I do like the feel of my skin after it’s absorbed. Aesthetically, I like the look of the Neutrogena jar as I think the purple/silver looks tacky. We’ll see the final results after I finish this jar.
I have tried drugstore products, and Olay has never worked for my skin. L'oreal, neutrogena always more suited. The neutrogena cream is on the dry side. I usually put a layer of Hyaluronic acid, or niacinamide, or peptides depending on the seasons. I then put a layer of Neutogena on, even d eyes, i seal it with a light cream or emulsion. It was causing some flaking and redness bcoz i have combination sentitive skin. So layering with a serum as base, then a layer of Neutrogena retinol cream, a light cream on top. It is working, plus how i layer it works for me. I skip retinol on the days i use my exfoliating gel. I use it around 4 days per week. I think after this jar. I will move on to a retinol serum. Retinol is best at night. Too many actives at one time can lead to irritation. Glycolic acid should not be used daily. And if you do, it should be at a low strength so it doesn’t lead to irritation. Of course a wash would be low exposure but could still be too much if you have dry or sensitive skin. Irritation/redness can negate any benefits of the actives.

They use the Retinol with magnesium, zinc, and copper, which some studies suggest it can support the stimulation of collagen production. So yes, it may help give you that skin firmness to fill in the gaps in wrinkles. I hope this helps!

It’s essentially the same ingredient: retinol. Every night may be too irritating unless you work up to using it that often. Consistency is best in skin care. Use one til you use it up. Then the next one if you are trying to figure out which one works best. If you use them both at the same time, you won’t be able to figure out which one irritates or works for you

I've been on Tret for over a year and it's done nothing for my skin. Like actually nothing! The lady I went too for tmj botox said that maybe I should try retinol instead. If Tret doesn't work for me, will retinol?? 😅 (I'm 30 and my goal is mostly got old acne scars from picking!)

My recommendation is to give adapalene a steady and consistent chance before adding an alternating routine. This of course depends on how far you are with the therapy. Keep me updated!
I am struggling to find a good product for fresh acne scars. Are any of the two products mentioned in this video good for acne scars?
What if I alternate them, one night Neutrogena, the next, Olay would that be ok?
It’s essentially the same ingredient: retinol. Every night may be too irritating unless you work up to using it that often.
Consistency is best in skin care. Use one til you use it up. Then the next one if you are trying to figure out which one works best. If you use them both at the same time, you won’t be able to figure out which one irritates or works for you
Thank you doctor
Can you do Mary Kay time repair nighttime retinal review ?
Sir, eventhogh I am using olay 24 consistently why i am not seeing any improvements in my fine lines and also I think I got new wrinkles??!!😢 Any suggestions? would be glad if u reply 🤍

Where can I get those tiny spoons that you have?
Is neutrogena safe during summer?
can I apply sunscreen over them?
Use them at night and apply a moisturizer not a sunscreen
is ordinary's Retinol 0.5% in Squalane too strong to start with? thanks!
Hello doctor and thank you for this lovely video, I have a question and would be grateful if you could give me a feedback: can I use a tint bb cream over my Neutrogena retinol day cream ? Greetings
Thank you for the question! It is important to leave it on for 20 minutes before applying the next product.
Can I use it on my whole body, neutrogena?
I jus seen another video saying not to mix and hyaluronic and vit C 🤔
What about Mary Kay, where's that review?
Glad I found your channel.
Just getting into this new skin care thing because alas, I have become of age. LOL
I have avoided the sun, for the most part, use sunscreen, I do all the basic necessary things, but, I need more help. I am olive tone, Hispanic, and now that I'm older, I seem to have a gray cast (?)...not healthy looking at all.
Going to try this retinol, and it seems I will go with Neutrogena.
Thanks for being here. Wishing you utmost success! 😊

😂
I'm going all watson to buy, neutrogena, but not available neutrogena??
Can we apply them on damp skin
Thank you
You're most welcome!
I've been on Tret for over a year and it's done nothing for my skin. Like actually nothing! The lady I went too for tmj botox said that maybe I should try retinol instead.
If Tret doesn't work for me, will retinol?? 😅
(I'm 30 and my goal is mostly got old acne scars from picking!)
Tnx doc. I recently got acnes on my chin. 1st time using retinol which is Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair. Terrible!? Instead of clear skin, my chin looks ugly now with those adult acnes!?
Plz tell me...I'm a breastfeeding mother, can I use the retinol or no?
I started using Olay retinol but it irritates my skin , redness, peeling. I used it every night coz I thought it will go away. Now I stop using it.
Try using it once your skin is completely dry. That helped me.
