Because for newer players even if you have Gepard (I do) i think aventurine is still one of the best investments because of how much bs you have to deal with. Sometimes at tb 47 i have to redo a STORY boss because it takes forever to kill them and i keep dying. Well not anymore i dont with aventurine.
He might be not the best unit but i think hes fairly powerful unless you strive to hit the top of the top. Hes comfortable to play with otherwise

Aventurine's damage is no slouch tbh considering his scaling. And unlike Fu Xuan, Aventurine buffs his own crit rate meaning it is 1000% viable to run CDMG body, SPD/DEF% boots, DEF%/IMAG orb, & DEF% rope

He has highest damage for a sustain, but it's still mid overall unless you have SG and constellations and heavy investment.
