I was 15 and tripping balls first time I heard this album, what a fucking journey it took me on. I still get so nostalgic every time I listen, each song was such a unique experience.

One of my favourite ever albums. So easily taps into this certain mellow yet otherworldly vibe, and it really is immensely relaxing. The lovely needle fuzz on some tracks and jazzy samples add to create a smoky atmosphere. My standouts are Kota with its catchy hypnotic melody and the track progressing through stranger forms.

hard for me to explain how much i love this album for the warm and sort of raw ambiance it always surrounds me with while im listening to it. this record is one of my favs ever since ive heard the track 'sleepy seven' and went on to search who created it, what album it was on etc...

terrapin is literally one of my favorite songs of all time, but this album it its entirety leads you to the bliss that is terrapin. remember the first time i reached that song, i cried almost the whole way though. not crying emotionally, just releasing tears of pure emotion. bliss, just as you described

It took me a few years to listen to this album again cause god damn I played it too much, and everybody else did..now is finally the time to enjoy this again.

Dinosaurs gives me a HUGE Amon Tobin flavor, for sure. Got chills listening to that, filthy, jazzy, dark dimly-lit alley at night kind of feeling. Fucking dig this so much harder than his later stuff tbh.

I got this song's single signed by Simon after I opened for him and Quantic in Athens, Georgia several years ago (2011?). He was impressed to see it there after so many years. One of my prized mementos.

Yes it is a fine album indeed; choosing a favourite track is difficult; The Plug which has been remixed to excellent effects is my choice.

Simon Green ''bonobo'' actually produced this album entirely by himself at the time.
It's weird when people judge others work.. When u play and produce your own entire album and then some random says it's not your best work?... pretty out if line in my opinion
Tim Hawkins this was produced by one man. And actually on the contrary, this is one of his best albums.

I discovered Bonobo by accident in 2014 and still sounds great. I'm from Mexico and I haven't met someone who knows this music. Do you guys know what happened with the album sweetness? It's no longer available, it seems it was banned or something
I loved that album. It's a compilation with some other artists and Bonobo doing covers (like the song Turtle is a cover), so I'm guessing it's a licensing issue, but I noticed its harder to find too.

Personally for me Sweetness is their best work, with Black Sands in second. Not to take anything away from this album tho. It's still great.
