So..I was there as well. Great lineup that killed it. I knew the Aussie stage crew & slept in a VW bus parked outside the casino (no rooms available). My girlfriend worked the Festival & I was there for the jazz. Still one of the greatest 2 wks of my life. Btw, met Bill Evans the morning I arrived by train from Amsterdam. He was smoking a cigarette, overlooking the lake & I recognized him. Had a nice chat - he had played the night before so I missed his performance...but he was very nice, meeting an aspiring young jazz pianist. Ah...memories - DW
