Kazumi Watanabe (with YMO) complete guitar solo Live at the Venue [Oct. 24, 1979]
Japanese Guitalist Katzumi Watanabe collapsed from a brain stem hemorrhage on February 27, 2024 and was unconscious, but he miraculously regained consciousness two months later and continues to undergo rehabilitation. I sincerely hope for Kazumi's miraculous recovery.

"Tell It All" was written by Sim Willson and from "The New York Community Choir" album in 1977. This instrumental version isn't Richard Tee's "Strokin'", but I feel like it's similar.

I merged the 1976 and 1983 versions of Patti Austin's "Say You Love Me." I love both versions, so I decided to create a mix that you can listen to at once. First, I adjusted the tempo and volume, placing the 1976 version 70% on the left and the 1983 version 70% on the right. I love this album. I first heard cuts from it soon after it's release on a Central Pennsylvania FM Jazz program called, "Dan's Thing" hosted by Dan Howard. I knew I had to have this album and purchased it soon after. It's probably my favorite album in my collection.

This band, and probably this lineup, performed a shortened version of Marketplace and another song I don't know the name of on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in around 1979-80. The performance was fantastic! I recorded the audio on my dad's cassette machine which was hooked up to the home stereo. Sadly, the tape has gone missing in the intervening years. One of the pix of the band in your slideshow looks like it could be from their Tonight Show appearance.
Thank you for the information. The original source of the audio was an FM broadcast in Japan from 1979 to 1980. The photos in the slideshow are clippings from magazines of that time, so they are not directly related to the audio source. If NBC's The Tonight Show audio was distributed to various countries for FM broadcasting, then it's possible that could be the source.
@@jazzfanclubyokohama8450 This audio is definitely not from that Tonight Show appearance. Both songs they performed would likely only have been a total of 7 to 8 minutes long. Also of note, sax player Ernie Watts was a member of the Tonight Show Band during this time.

別にアップされていた動画でも書いたけど アンソニーのベースソロ、何回聴いても リズムの頭が取れない！ ナベサダさんも、最初は静かにリズムを取っていたけど あとの方で「参ったね、こりゃ・・」みたいになるのが もうたまらなく好き。
