First time hearing this sound was on ‘Toca Race Driver 3’ for Ps2. Ever since then I been hooked on these Monaros and learning the correlation between this and my favorite brand Pontiac was icing on the cake. 🏎💨

Signicantly faster on the straights, not just a little faster. Catching people under brakes Into corners, again not just marginally better but really making a lot of ground in most cases. The biggest disadvantage that I noticed with this car/driver combination was getting power down out of corners and that didn't matter because it passed with ease on the next straight most times.
Until he comes up to another LS powered car, then he is depending on cars in front of them to slow them down enough, so he can out brake them. Nothing special here, that any good driver with a superior car couldn't do, starting behind all the slower cars. Qualifying must have been interesting, from that camera's point of view!

This is what could have been if Supercars switched to coupés sooner. Such a tragedy, that neither Holden nor Pontiac are still around to send the Monaro/GTO into the ring against the Mustang.

That isn't a supercar and that body if it could have been homoligated to suit supercars it would have been no faster then the 4dr

Aussie Sports Sedans tend to run something like a 6 litre Chev block.Some of the more Trans-am ones like the Corvette can go to 7 litres. If I recall the Corvette's got something like an ex Hendrick Motorsports Nascar block in it.
