- Auto folding mirrors after closing central locking in Audi with MMI 3G system. If your cr is equipped with electric side mirrors (you have the fold position on the drivers door control knob) and Multimedia Interface 3G System, you can easily activate this feature without diagnostic interface like VCDS, VAG-COM or VAS. My Audi A3 is equipped with power folding mirrors , but don't fold when I locked using the key .It has Audi Chorus and no Mmi .Is it possible to enable auto fold ?

It’s is all in the car menu highlighted in red but It turn grey and says “switch ignition on to configure selected system “. So when I do turn it on it all goes grey😫. And the clock doesn’t show on the mmi anymore either !! Plz help me fix it!!! Desperate.

Thanks for this video. I have a 2012 AUDI Q7. On control panel I don't have a "set-up" button. Where your set up button is I have a "menu" button. Will pressing the car button & the menu button get me into the green menu?
It should work. Press MENU first, then add CAR button. If it doesn't work ,then you probably need to enable hidden menu first using diagnostic interface.

you need to activate hidden green menu first using diagnostic interface.
then you can access the hidden menu and enable features like folding mirrors etc. (as long as you car is equipped with suitable hardware).

In 2015 car most likely you don't have MMI 3G, but 3G+ or RMC.
In RMC you can't.
3G+ is not covered yet, but this procedure should be possible.

same thing. A4 and A5 are both from the B8 platform and other then the body line there's not much of a electronic difference between them.

Hi! If you have latest MMI software, function enabled in MMI, you need to check with diagnostic interface if both door modules are coded correctly, also if there's firmware update for door modules and/or convenience module and central electronics module.

Tnx. Nice Video! I have A6 2009 (facelift model) with manually foldable mirrors with knob. I did all as showed in video, but no options to choose in central locking. Is it even possible. I have enabled trough VCDS folding mirror options. But in 46-central conv. module there is no possibility of long coding.

You car might not support auto folding mirrors. Some people report that. You can also review coding of central conv., central elect., CAN gateway, drivers door and passenger door. Check if some bit is not missing.
In which modules I have to do coding to enable the options. I have electricaly foldable mirrors. But I can't get them auto fold on locking the car.

You can try with MENU button instead of SETUP.
my 2014 a5 doesnt have the folding mirror icon on the door but they move if i go reverse uphill can i still do it

You can enable folding mirrors in MMI 2G but most likely it will not be supported by door modules and central convenience module, so it would be grayed out on your MMI screen. That's because this feature was introduced later than 2007.

Check my video about Mmi versions. Then check if you have your hidden menu enabled. You can use MENU button instead of SETUP.

As far as I know, you can't make Audi A3 to fold mirrors with remote. There are some DIY hardware boxes that control folding mirrors but I have no experience with those.

MMI hidden menu is restricted to the MMI controlled functions.
Staging needs to be coded in the instrument cluster module.

When I lock the car, only the driver's side mirror fold. Is there a problem with the other or is there an option to fold only one?
Why is this not a default option? And would this void some kind of warranty?
Shouldn't void your warranty.
It IS a default in some markets, like Japan where I am. Parking space is tight here, most people fold their mirrors whenever parking, by habit, either manually, with a switch, or in my Q5 simply by locking the car.
I entered the hidden menu, went to car, cardevicelist and activated the mirror option. I exited the hidden menu, restarted the MMI and I could not see the Mirror Auto-Folding option in the Car Setup, under Central Locking. Do you have any idea why is this not working? Bear in mind that both the battery and the splash screen were working just fine and I could do both of them...
In some cars this function needs to be also enabled in other modules:
each door module: long coding > byte 4 > bit 4
cent. conv.: long coding > byte 7 > bit 7

2017 will most likely have MMI 3G+ (MIB2 based) system with different settings. No info yet.

I have 2011 Q7 no sim in the center just two as slots , I added the green menu and checked everything was coded no folding option on mmi. I have manual folding mirrors.
If you have manual folding mirrors (not power-folding mirrors), then you can not fold them automatically.
