- @JamesReeves is at Surefire to see the new Stiletto Pro II. The Stiletto Pro is already James' most favorite EDC light, so what does the Pro II bring to the table?
Glad you asked: It adds a Multi-Output Dual Beam, USB-C rechargeable (finally), 1,500 lumens with a 500 lumens and 25 lumens setting (50% more than Stiletto Pro), and 35,000 candela (5X more than Stiletto Pro).

$129 for the Stiletto, &259 for the Stiletto Pro and $379 for the Stiletto Pro 2. I’m sure it’s great and is as bright as they say but I won’t be gettin one. I’ll stick to my older Surefires and Stream lights.
I buy a bunch of cheap lights at COSTCO.
Do they heat up really bad like Olights?
@@JohnQuickWick I have the new Olight PL Turbo, and that barely even gets warm to the touch. With 70,000 candela.
@@Valorius I have the Odin. That thing burns if I leave it on high beam for under a minute.
@@JohnQuickWick The PL Turbo is an LEP it does not get hot. You want to talk about hot, check out an original Surefire 6 incandescent, you could cook eggs on it.
Imagine, losing this overpriced $350 flashlight and then imagine someone else finding it, lol.
Depression
Emotional damage 😢@@BiblePatriot
Why I love the Wedge from Streamlight. I can lose 80 bucks and not cry or my Surefire G2X pro, which is a single mode. It was 60 bucks at the time. I can lose that much and not cry. I will be pissed if I lost a $350 ANYTHING. I carry expensive OTFs and I always check my pockets for them when I come home
My dumb ass would do that too
Imagine not understanding we don't live in communist Russia, and there are people who make enough money to afford something like this and not blink. 😂
$350 For a light 😳
You can get a custom made Hank light for 1/3 the price lol.
my cloud defensive was $250 and has way more candela given i got the high candela head version but still you have options on output and can program it
Not crazy for a surefire
Absolute rip-off
@@PulledPurk there are a lot of stupid people in the world
$379 for a pocket EDC flashlight???!!!!!😂😂😂
People will pay it.
Only $350? Lol.
I know , WTF did I wake up in 2040 !
They think they're Cloud Defense or Modlite.
So now when is Streamlight bringing the Wedge2... :)
350 for a pocket flashlight? Ouch!
More like "NO."
@litsci4690 Yeah, in my opinion and experience their are some great lights for pocket carry in the $20 dollar price range. I use the LED Lenser even as a Carbine Light. Runs on 4 AAA batteries put it on a 30mm Scope ring and your good to go. Thousands of rounds zero issues. It is a tad big for pocket carry but, they have one that runs on 3 AAA's that is perfect. A 20mm scope ring fits it should you decide to weapon mount it. They run about 30 bucks for the small one and 50 for the big one. I am sure the Cool Kids would say this use of cheap lights will lead to my undoing 😀
And it's too big for your pocket.
@XDWX It is to big for my wallet
I think he's downplaying the loss of battery life, even on low settings. Multiple emitters are inherently less efficient than a single emitter.
I’m an industrial mechanic. I’ve carried a $20 Streamlight Stylus Pro. I’ve had it next to a mig welder tip for hours at this point and it’s still kicking. I’ve dropped it 40+ ft down a chute and it’s still working. I couldn’t imagine spending this much money on an edc light and putting it through the abuse that I do. It’s gonna be a hard pass for me and most people that actually use their lights.
An thats why I carry an olight for work and a Stiletto Pro outside of work. I have beat the snot out of them both. But they have different rolls to play. I've broken my olight at work in such a way that would end any light. But the stuff I've done to my Stiletto Pro in training and classes has killed one of my streamlight protac's and an olight. An honest depending on the beam pattern and battery life I may pick this one up when I can get it for under $250.
That's fine, it wasn't designed for someone in your price bracket.
This light is for blinding the shit out of someone so you can can do what you want with them in a tactical situation while retaining normal functionality as a flashlight
I’ve carried and used my stiletto pro every day since I bought it nearly 4 years ago and ordered the pro 2 as soon as I saw it in stock at big tex. I’ll carry and use it every day.
I don’t understand this “people who actually use” line when arguing people who “actually use” things won’t spend money on something. If I use something every day that’s all the more reason to get a nice one.
I’ll stick with my little Streamlight ProTac light that’s $30 as my EDC. I’ve had the same one for years.
$350 for a pocket flashlight? I know inflation is bad but damn thats a lot of money.
Surefire needs to stop hanging around with FN and H&K, because those prices are ridiculous.
It's not about inflation, they just think you're dumb enough to buy it.
Or maybe you just need to stop being poor.
@@SludgeManCometh The fastest way to become not rich is to stop being poor.
@@SludgeManCometh what a shit take. Here's hoping you grow up one day 🤡
ooohh... put some salt on that burn boyo
That's way too big for EDC. There is no way it "disapears" in your pocket. It's almost the size of a pack of resses peanut butter cups.
Pretty cool but as someone who slready owns a Stiletto Pro this is a tough sale being twice what I paid for MSRP wise. Having 2 illuminators is nice but the single illuminator is okay to me and ztill works years later so.....
a great neat beautiful and bright video and flashlight.have a good one Mr James.
For the love of it all, someone introduce James to the Habitual Linecrosser's depiction of Florida 😂
I never thought I’d spend this much on a EDC light. After seeing the demo- I had to have it. It is absolutely amazing and have zero regrets. He was a little low on MSRP but you gotta pay to play.
Are the internal electronics potted like Elzettas are?
Love my streamlight edc. O wait, wrong video.
Great video
It's a flashlight for $350.
The Price is highway robbery. You're not Cloud Defense or Modlite. So stop acting like you are.
it doesnt matter what name you put on the side, its a lightbulb. cloud and modlite are robbery as well
Cloud Defensive and Modlight took after Surefire. Surefire has been high priced since the nineties. They were just about the only ones doing tactical lights back then.
I picked up a china light for my bike for under a hundred bucks that is bright enough to blind police helicopter pilots. LED stuff shouldn't cost this much.
Surefire was CD or Modlite before CD or Modlite existed. 😂
I'm not about to buy one of these, but I'm not pathetic enough to bitch about the price because I know it's not for me.
The more you bitch, the more it's obvious that you want the product.
Sorry broke boy.
Can you charge the battery by itself and swap?
I think we’re “losing sight” of cost/feature set. This is an edc light. Is it cool, of course. Love that’s its USA but it’s pretty absurd.
Breaking news: Surefire huffing their own farts again, no one surprised
Paid 190 for a stiletto pro in 19 or 20. Only got it because I hit a little payout on a slot machine. 350-370? 230-260 for a stiletto pro NOW. Can’t support this price point. Great lights, but I’m priced out
I would like to see a G2X upgrade which run on 18650ies (even so the existing run good on 16650ies). And the Tactical or LE version with cool white and high candela. The Pro with a max of 300 lumen but good run times and rather a mix beam in neutral white. But SF dont listen and give a fuck.
I’ll stick to my nitecore edc27.
A reversible clip is nice but why not have it curve back so you can store bezel down and clip on your hat like the EDC 2?
two lampheads next to each other only gives you spread, and decreased battery life, not reach. it gets interesting if each head has a different emitter and light pattern
Ah, I see my favorite flashlight brand decided to keep the slippery wet fish grip of the previous two gen. versions. How lovely. Ironically, the Original Stiletto offers better grip being made out of polymer. But still slippery in hand.
At $50 they're better options. There's so much wrong with this flashlight its insane. I'd suggest Sofrin, Wurkkos or Convoy.
They are braging about fetures and outputs that are below standard in lights that are $30-$50. 1500 lumes is normal. USB-C I'd hope so! The battery is normally first thing to go and you can't replace it. What's the CRI? What's the temperature? What's the LED? All hidden from the consumer.
This is an anti-flashlight nerds flashlight taking advantage of peoples lack of knowledge.
so basically $350 for the exact same job that wurkkos fc12 can do for $25. Got it.
Wurrkos will have the latest technology though.
I like how james voice cracks when he says “good” after hearing the price.
My brother and I have the Peacekeeper. Mine is going on 5-6 years now and it's one remarkable flashlight. It still has the same Surefire batteries. I go on my night speed walks in the city, and with 600 lumens, cars actually stop on the streets thinking I'm either a motorcycle or a car. Now, the Stiletto II has 1500 lumens and 35,000 candela. Holy Smokes!
When are you going to review the XR2?
The only thing I have to say about Surefire is that if you buy one you are guaranteed to be getting brutally ripped off unless you are getting industry pricing.
Nitecore edc27. Has rear mounted switches and a display unlike olight.
This is a joke just like gen 1!!! If your incompetent enough to pay $350+ for a flashlight, well you deserve all the stupidly you get haha 😂
Preposterous price!
nice
Nitecore makes a very similar light, flat body with two emitters and internal copper heatsink (EDC27). They say it is 3000 lumens, but that is the burst lumens value, the EDC27 can emit 1000 lumens continuously. - which I believe is the same with the new SF Stiletto Pro 2.
The SF light is priced at $350 Vs the $100 of the EDC27. I'm sure the SF uses better components and their light is machined to very low tolerances, and the engineering of the circuit is more accurate and reliable, and it is made in the US and not in China; but is all of this is worth 3.5x the price?
Cool 😎
But not for $350.
Are you effing insane.
They should call it the Rolex.
I'm sure bill gates would like one.
Oyster Perpetual Credit Card Debt.
Surefire charges absurd money for a flashlight... They price gouge the civilian market because they have gov contracts, offer up mediocre products, but they still sell because of some strange stigma that whatever the military uses is the best. Streamlight and olight are far better products.
I sincerely wouldn't recommend surefire to anyone. Waste of money
Tell me you know nothing about the flashlight boutique world without telling me.. these prices are nothing for flashlights. Let me guess you have an olight
Olight is trash period.
@@biunzRS the fact you used the word "boutique" for a light bulb 🤣 tell us you wasted thousands of dollars on light bulbs without telling us. I have owned every light on the market, that's how I know surefire is mediocre crap (thank God there's people like you who will mindlessly buy this trash from me after I test it though)
@@airenthusiast1071 I bet you said the same thing about vortex, holosun, and streamlight when they started making better products than trijicon, aimpoint, eotech, and surefire too 🤣 remember, expensive and gov contract means better... Right? 😉
@@maximusjoseppi5904 I use everything you mention minus Holosun and Olight.
Woot, now the G1's might take a price hit, just in time for me to pick one up.
Light = $50 + Somebody's health care, mortgage, retirement, kid's college = $300.
🔦
Nitecore EDC27 and EDC25 has 3000 lumens and has over 37 hours runtime on 15 lumens and it only cost between $80 and $90
Salesman: What are you planning to see with this?
Me: I want the angels in heaven to envy me
I’ll stick with my cloud defensive mch for candela
Glad I read the comments before I even watched the video. 370+ for ANY flashlight is nuts. Let alone a pocket EDC. Can always count on sure fire for overprice
1:21 finally taking a page out of olights book
If I buy a 350 dollar flashlight, will that make me an operator?
More money than brains club.
😗💨 Surefire must be smoking with those prices… $350 no thanks. It’s basically the old Firepack in a different body and huge mark up. 😂
Can't even consider one at that price bro. Not even in my ballpark.
Laughs in Nitecore EDC27*
Priced for gov agencies that need to throw some money away to justify the budget.
$350?!?!
Flashlights and knives or like anything else that goes in my pocket, be prepared to lose it
350 crazy I’ll stick with something under 100 bucks and out do it
guardian DBR 2?
350 dollars, that´s just stupid. As usual Surefire is years behind everyone else in power and charges hundreds of dollars more. They still behave like they were the only "tactical" manufacturer on the planet. That wasn´t the case even 10 years ago. Today you can buy a Baton 3 Pro from Olight that has 1500 Lumens (like the surefire in this video) for 69$. If you want a flat formfactor the Olight Arkfeld Pro Flat EDC has a 1300 lumen light, UV-light and a laser, for 99,99$. For 140$ you can get a 4600!! lumen Olight Seeker 4 Pro. Surefire makes good lights but their pricing is insane. If they were better than everyone else and had brighter lights than anyone else there would be a point to it, but that is just not the case.
sgthl I don't know why people compare surefire to olight 🙄 olight is junk .. first of all olights lumen claims are ridiculous. The baton 3 is 1200 lumens but for 1 1/2 minutes on a fully charged battery then its 300 lumens. You "4600" lumen light is for 2.5 minutes. If you want to buy cheap junk feel free.

$350 for a massive light that they call small.... No wonder Olight is so popular, the American companies can't even offer a similiar product, let alone one for under 3x the cost of a single Olight...
That dudes hair is fuckin wild. Lol
Olight Arkfeld 3 pro ... 80$ with mil discount....
What a joke. There's just too many fools, suckers, and people with more money than sense nowadays.
Never wanted a company to take my money more.... but $350 and literly every spec he proudly stated is behind every other option i looked at... for 200. Loved my stiletto pro but i just cant justify surefire anymore. Hopefully old pro goes on sale or another company makes same form factor light.
Personally I find my Olight Warrior Mini 3 more pocketable and just as useful. Same max output and while it doesn't have the same spotlight reach, I don't need it to. It's literally half the size. It's also under $100.
All they needed to do is put USBC and they would sell millions
The older Stiletto Pro will be Type-C as well.
He said it will be
@@van3158 i know. All they needed to do was put usbc and it would sell was my point. Added lumens etc are bonus. I never got one because of micro usb.
dissappear is theveorst promotional word you can possibly use gor a 350 flight
I'm glad they are finally putting out some higher candela lights.
Yeah, and they only cost triple what the competition does.
@Valorius depends on what you consider "competition" . If you compare them with USA made quality light then not really, compared to cheap junk like olight then yeah they are expensive.

@@Jon-ki2px your comment is completely ridiculous from the first word to the last.
@Valorius your just ignorant I wouldn't expect you to understand my comment. It's ok though keep buying olight junk 🤣🤣
These “American made” companies are absolutely reaming Americans with the operator propaganda tax. These lights are assembled in USA. Most of the important components are made in China. The LED is made in China, the LED driver board is made in China. The 18650 or 2700 cell is made in….. you guessed it, China. Only thing that’s made here is the aluminum housing which is machined via a cnc lathe. How much can these companies charge you for a piece of American made aluminum? Notice how neither surefire, cloud defense, mod light, arisaka etc engraved MADE IN USA on their lights.? Your getting booked.
There's a sucker born every second for their marketing scheme.
I couldn’t agree more.
But but "I use wut da proz uze!"
What are the best alternatives, in your opinion?
@@Anw120 The Nitecore EDC27 is literally twice as powerful and 1/4 the price ($90 vs $380).
Nitecore makes world class flashlights.
$350 you’ll be pissed as shit when you lose it
Sign me up , I love my og stiletto, next video James gets sick from all the handshaking and grab assing 😂😂
I have the original Stiletto, good enough for my needs, and a lot cheaper than the pro models.
Stoked on this, been carrying the OG stiletto since launch and been needing that USBC
350 for a flashlight…..Toyota must be doing the pricing structure for Surefire these days?
I hate to be that guy, but the Olight warrior mini 3 is great and less than $100
Wonder if they fixed the problem with the LEDs buring out with normal everyday use. I guess now you double the odds of that happening. The stiletto pro was the biggest waste of money. I got more use out of my streamlight pro tac HL-X while my stiletto pro was getting repaired...twice. My "bombproof" light is a dud.
OVERPRICED.
I’ll pass. $375 for a 1500 Lumen light? If you are looking for a flat, pocketable light I’d be looking at the Nitecore EDC27 which is 3000 lumen max at $90 or the Streamlight Wedge for $90. If you want a traditional round footprint look at the Nitecore EDC33 or MH12, Streamlight ProTac series, Olight Button, or any of the other manufacturers.
I have liked Surefires stuff but you really are paying for the name at this point. A bigger, dimmer, worse battery light for 4.16 times the price.
Our friends in China managed to make one for like $30. And this one is probably from the same factory.
Why the flying shit dog have you not done a burn down stoegar m3000 video?’ You need to do it and put the video on here on the next few days please thanks
$350 for 30 minutes of run time on high, then have to wait 30-45 minutes for it to recharge, fuck off. For $350 at least make it so it's rechargeable and able to swap out batteries in the event you are unable to recharge your light.
No matter how good a light is , nothing is worth the cost Surefire charge.
Get out of California and lower your fucking prices.
Everyone complaining about the price... but are there any other 1,500 lumen, 35,000 candela flat-profile EDC lights out there?
It's not flat. It's just fat.
That will be $500 please
That’s Glock money… for a damn light
My edc light is a coast g22 100 lumen triple a. 12 dollars great for the money and if you lose it your not out much.
Some people carry a kershaw and a streamlight. Other's carry a Surefire and a Microtech. I'm the latter. Yes its expensive. But I like quality US made products and I'm willing to pay for them.
An it'll be $275 street price in a year or two. Thats when I'll replace my Stiletto Pro.
Nothing wrong with that, however there is a large crowd of people in that camp that look down on others who chose to not do that. Acting like their choice is completely inadequate.
@@JakeCamo Judging from the comments here it appears the larger camp is people who can't afford it and thus must anonymously crap on it lol.
Some people think that crap they carry impresses their friends (who are usually not really their friends).
Them rest of us don't carry Stealfires.
It looks and sounds great, BUT at that price point, I will completely pass.
I’ll stick to just stileto. Who needs trust much lumen when ur up close to a person.
RE upgraded to USB-C: "Welcome to 2010." ..Ouch, but warranted.
How about user replaceable batteries will catch you up to the 1900s. I know, form factor, blah blah blah. All I hear is planned obsolescence.
I can get a olight and call it a day lol
Arkfield>Stilleto
I won’t be buying this, my original stiletto is perfectly good, but it is pretty cool
Clown light
So many people, who probably make more than me, complaining about the price of something that just isn't for them.
There's so many things I can't afford, and I either don't watch the video, or I just comment about the fact it's cool. In the case of lights, I usually just plug Goonbeam because I think they make killer stuff for a wicked price.
I would like it too if i was getting one comped to me. The light is an *absolute rip off* like almost all stealfire products.
